Historia
The Jedi have always traveled the stars, defending peace and justice across the galaxy. But the galaxy is changing, and the Jedi Order along with it. More and more, the Order finds itself focused on the future of the Republic, secluded on Coruscant, where the twelve members of the Jedi Council weigh crises on a galactic scale.

Most disappointing Star Wars book
Revisado: 05-03-24
I’ve listened to at least a dozen Star Wars books and I’ve learned not to expect an exceptional story—just something entertaining and believable within the Star Wars galaxy. This book was long, tedious, unconvincing, and barely believable. I kept hoping it would get better but the ending was uninteresting, the climax plot was predictable, and everything before it was boring and super slow. And Marc Thompson’s narration is so over dramatized that it’s hard to focus on the story. I really wanted to like this book, and I don’t leave negative reviews, but this is honestly too mediocre.

Great narration and story
Revisado: 04-10-24
Loved the narrator and the story masterfully filled in the gaps before and during the Phantom Menace. It’s nice to have a Star Wars story that’s lighter on action and more focused on political intrigue and the backstory of the sith.

Best book on creativity or business
Revisado: 08-26-23
One of the best books on creativity or business I’ve ever found. Every chapter was full of practical insights and captivating stories/examples. It’s evident that Ed’s wisdom, which often challenges conventional workplace culture, has been deeply informed by experience and ego-free reflection. I’m so glad that he narrates this new edition!

A stand-out Star Wars novel
Revisado: 07-22-23
Of the roughly ten Star Wars novels I’ve read (or listened to), this was probably my favorite. The narration was exceptional (not over acted like Marc Thompson’s narrations), and the characters were believable, relatable, and likable even in their moments of darkness. The pacing was captivating, and the story very satisfying—from the overall arc to the many little details from the Star Wars canon. Highly recommend.

Revisado: 07-08-21
This is one of the most beautiful and thoughtful things I’ve heard in a while. Yo-Yo Ma’s candid stories and comforting voice immediately drew me in and kept me riveted. The story was as spiritual and emotional as it was thought-provoking and entertaining. I’ll be recommending this to everyone I know!

Exquisite.
Revisado: 10-26-20
This is a masterpiece. I haven’t encountered such an enchantingly eloquent novel since I read F. Scott Fitzgerald many years ago. Towles is a master of prose. The story was immersive and engaging... from the grand plot twists to the descriptions of details. I also have to remark that the narration is flawless. His voice and delivery are a perfect fit for this story. I simply can’t imagine it read by anyone else.

Fascinating and Thought-Provoking
Revisado: 05-21-20
Peper has a remarkable ability to extrapolate current trends into a disturbingly-believable picture of the future, then weave an engaging story around it. Veil is no exception. A captivating and thought-provoking story that you’ll continue thinking about long after you finish. I highly recommend it!

We need more novels like this.
Revisado: 05-14-19
These books feel different from most novels. Peper’s masterful ability to weave thought-provoking, near-future issues with gripping, enjoyable narratives has made him one of my favorite authors.
He twists conventional plot lines so that even half way through the book I don’t know where it’s going to lead, and he always stuns me with rigorously detailed glimpses of how our world could look in ten or twenty years.
When I pick up an Eliot Peper novel, I expect to be captivated by fiction and simultaneously become more engaged with the issues facing our world today.
I cannot recommend these books more highly to other readers.
