Historia
More than a million listeners have thrilled to Bill O'Reilly's Killing Lincoln, the can't-stop-listening work of nonfiction about the shocking assassination that changed the course of American history. Now the anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts in gripping detail the brutal murder of John Fitzgerald Kennedy—and how a sequence of gunshots on a Dallas afternoon not only killed a beloved president but also sent the nation into the cataclysmic division of the Vietnam War and its culture-changing aftermath.

Absolutely fantastic!
Revisado: 11-18-24
This is one of the best books that I have read regarding the Kennedy assassination . I have read several and a lot of them based more on personal opinions than facts. This book tells us of what we know already and also other facts that make Kennedy more personal. I do think that Jackie and John did have great love for each other and it saddens me even now after so many years of how their lives ended.
I have to give it a five stars

Historia
James A. Garfield may have been the most extraordinary man ever elected president. Born into abject poverty, he rose to become a wunderkind scholar, a Civil War hero, and a renowned and admired reformist congressman. Nominated for president against his will, he engaged in a fierce battle with the corrupt political establishment. But four months after his inauguration, a deranged office seeker tracked Garfield down and shot him in the back. But the shot didn’t kill Garfield. The drama of what happened subsequently is a powerful story of a nation in turmoil.

The history that you were not taught in school
Revisado: 11-12-24
Excellent! To be honest this is not a book that I would have picked up but it is very well written . It kept my attention to the very end and I learned about a president that I really did not know that much about other than his assassination . If you like history I highly recommend this book, it made a forgotten president come to life and makes you wonder like with Lincoln and Kennedy and McKinney what could have been if tragedy had not happened

Set on a gorgeous, off-the-grid mountaintop property, it’s the perfect place to unplug and reconnect. Until a bone-chilling scream cuts through the night. Mercy McAlpine, the manager of the Lodge, is dead. With a vicious storm raging and the one access road to the property washed out, the murderer must be someone on the mountain. But as Will and Sara investigate the McAlpine family and the other guests, they realize that everyone here is lying.

Love me some Will Trent
Revisado: 08-26-24
This is one of the best Will Trent novels . Absolutely could not put down, a lot of twists and turns and maybe a roller coaster to boot.
I have read all of her books but my favorite are the Will Trent and Sarah Linton books. Can’t wait until the next one . Highly recommend if you like a good fast paced and unpredictable story line

Bonnie and Clyde were responsible for multiple murders and countless robberies. But they did not act alone. In 1933, during their infamous run from the law, Bonnie and Clyde were joined by Clyde's brother Buck Barrow and his wife Blanche. Of these four accomplices, only one, Blanche Caldwell Barrow, lived beyond early adulthood and only Blanche left behind a written account of their escapades. Edited by outlaw expert John Neal Phillips, Blanche's previously unknown memoir is here available for the first time.

Sorta boring - horrible narrator
Revisado: 06-13-24
The story is only so - so in my opinion. I think it might have been better if the narrator was not so annoying with how she mispronounced words- even common everyday words
When she would say penitentiary I would have to grit my teeth - I have never heard it pronounced the way this narrator says in the book.
Overall the story was interesting only in the fact that this was a first hand account of the Barrow gang. But there are other excellent books out there about Bonnie and Clyde and their gang that is well written and researched and I would recommend if you are interested to listen to one of those and save your money on this one

I really wanted to like this book since there was so many five stars giving me hope that this was going to be a good book- but found it to be stupid and annoying as hell. Thankfully this was one of the free downloads from audible otherwise I would have returned it immediately- it is definitely not worth a credit .
Maybe some people will enjoy this book but I found that the main character to be one of the most annoying people in any book that I have read
I doubt seriously that I will read anything else from this author - not worth my time

Really enjoyed
Revisado: 05-31-24
I was surprised how good this book was once I started listening to the story. I did not think I was going to like the narrator but after a couple of chapters I listened more to the story than her voice and then her voice seemed perfect for the book.
Well written and researched I had to finish this one during the night . So glad that this evil woman is behind bars where she belongs . She had someone that adored her and gave her everything that she wanted but she wanted more . Greed and lust turns into murder . If you like true crime you will like this book. I agree with other reviews- this reminds me of a Ann Rule crime story

Previous books better
Revisado: 04-10-24
I have really enjoyed the previous series in the Eve Ronin stories but this one just did not cut it for me . Eve has become almost a unlikable character, whereas in the first couple of books you are pulling for her. Hopefully the next series will be better without the harping , bitching and back stabbing that has become part of Eve’s personality.
Now use your imagination on which real life reality stars this was taken on - bet you can get it with first guess - and I never watched that show either
