Fast paced
Revisado: 01-07-20
I enjoyed the book, even if it was far fetched, it had action to keep me interested. The narrator however, that is another kettle of fish. Words were changed, as I read as I listened, his voice was not well matched for the characters or story. I am unsure whether I’ll go on to book 2 since the author used the same reader.

Narrator was incredible
Revisado: 08-31-19
I enjoyed the audiobook but it was hard for me to stay focused. The narrator was incredible. He did a fabulous job, and the book wouldn’t have been such a success without him. I’m glad I listened to it, but once was enough. I will however look for more books by this narrator

Not my favorite in this series
Revisado: 05-22-19
I have really enjoyed listening to the virgin river series but this book was not my favorite. Vannie (Vanessa) was not a likeable character. Also, there was so much happening in this book, it was always flipping from one couple to another, so you had to be on alert and at attention at all times, or you could miss who was the focus at that particular part. I would have like more character development of the main couple, than throwing them all into the middle, spinning the wheel to see who we were going to talk about next.
The narrator was/is excellent. She is probably my favorite female reader, as she brings life to the characters.
I will go on to the next book, because the first ones I enjoyed so much, but if I started with this book, not sure I would go on to the next

Historia
Ex-military policeman Jack Reacher is a drifter. He’s just passing through Margrave, Georgia, and in less than an hour, he’s arrested for murder. Not much of a welcome. All Reacher knows is that he didn’t kill anybody. At least not here. Not lately. But he doesn’t stand a chance of convincing anyone. Not in Margrave, Georgia. Not a chance in hell.

Narrator ruins what might have been great
Revisado: 04-10-19
I find you either love Dick Hills narration, or hate them. Unfortunately to me he ruins everything I’ve taken a chance on with him as a reader. I wish there was an alternative reader for this series

Couldn’t handle the narrator
Revisado: 02-18-19
The book looked like it might be cute, but I couldn’t get past the narration. Mr Allen had too old of a voice for this book, and read like he just wanted to get through it. Sentences ran into one another without punctuation pauses, I finally gave up in chapter 10 deciding to read it instead

Kept me entertained while listening
Revisado: 10-25-18
Not sure how I feel about the narrator. I think it would have been better read by a woman. His voice for the main character was fine, but when he did any other man, he made them sound almost stupid. The main female character he did was grating to me, but the story was fine. I listened to it at work, and there was a bit of swearing where I had to run for the mute key, but that was only because I was at work, not enough to set a tone, but not sure it added to the book at all.
It was pretty predictable, but overall not a bad listen. Didn’t deserve 5stars, but was easy to finish as well. Not a book I’ll remember in a few days, but for the most part kept me entertained while listening.

Good listen
Revisado: 10-14-18
I usually avoid books with this subject background, but bought it on sale and took a chance. It was worth the listen. It is not a book I will remember in a few weeks but it kept my attention. I was not thrilled with the choice of readers. I think this story would have been better suited if read by a woman, but that is only an opinion. I thought he was saying "Crystal' when he spoke of one of the main male characters, but after thinking about it, he was probably saying 'Christoff' as I don't think Crystal is a man's name.. Not important.. Over all, I enjoyed the book, as I have enjoyed Danielle Steel's books in the past. But I wouldn't go out of my way, to listen to another book by this reader.

Freakin' Phenomenal
Revisado: 02-26-18
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely, already have.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the story and I'm not a sci-fi buff. I loved all the '80's references. I remembered them all, I guess that tells a lot about my age.
Which character – as performed by Wil Wheaton – was your favorite?
I think Wil Wheaton did a fabulous job, actually, I think he made the book. He dramatized it. He made if fun, and interesting. I couldn't think of a better narrator for this book.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I enjoyed it all. I found myself laughing out loud in parts. I think I may even had a tear or two once.
Any additional comments?
I bought this audiobook because of the position it had on the best sellers list. Then I saw that it was going to be made into a movie, by Stephen Spielberg. I wanted to finish the book before I saw the movie, but sadly I watched the trailer and got a spoiler alert which took away one of the 'I didn't see that coming'
This book made me laugh out loud more than once. I could hear or relate to the music they talked about. I can remember playing my Colecovision, Pac-Man and Space Invaders. (Game Over Space Cadet)
I enjoyed this audiobook, I didn't want it to end. Now I gotta go.. I think I need to listen to some rush

Made me cry, really cry, ugly cry
Revisado: 12-28-17
It took me a few weeks to finish this book. No fault of the book, but fault of the Christmas holiday. But no matter when I took time out to listen, I hadn’t lost where I was in the story, I didn’t have to read a chapter over. It is a very emotional tale, and not to sound sexist, I think it would be more of a woman’s book than a mans. Not that I don’t think a man would enjoy it, I am sure they would, but it is a very emotional story of a girl and her family. The narrators were spot on and well chosen. It was well worth my credit
