Disappointed
Revisado: 07-19-23
I love all the Ginger Gold books, and up to this point, I have enjoyed the Rosa Reed spin-off. However, this story was boring. I found I was fast forwarding the tiresome and never-ending chase scene. it just didn't hold my interest. I did enjoy the ending where Larry leaves, and Migel declares his love for Rosa. Gives me hope the next one will live up to the standards I'm used to by Lee Strauss. I also thought it was overpriced. I used a credit instead of paying the full cost.

Historia
Summer 1923. Lady Eleanor Swift is finally persuaded by her butler, Clifford, to take a villa in the south of France for the season. She plans to do what a glamorous lady abroad should: long lunches on the balcony followed by lazy afternoons lounging by the pool. But when Clifford examines the wine cellar, he discovers there are no decent reds, but there is a very dead body. The victim is famous American movie-star Rex Armstrong. Poor Rex seems to have been stabbed with a sword from the film set. So how did he end up in Eleanor’s villa?

Too drawn out. Better when plot developed with her Chief Indpector , Hugh. Makes the storyline much more nteresting rather than just focusing on Eleanor and Clifford.

The Rose Code
Revisado: 05-03-21
Too long. After 26 chapters of the same ramblings, jumped to chapter 86 and got the jist of it without suffering through another 60 chapters. Story line was compelling, but it was painfully dreary in length.
Epilogue is interesting.

Why did you change the narrator for this book? The previous book series narrator's voice is more appealing to the main character, Sukey Reynolds.
