Historia
If anyone could be considered a Russian counterpart to the infamous British double-agent Kim Philby, it was Oleg Gordievsky. The son of two KGB agents and the product of the best Soviet institutions, the savvy, sophisticated Gordievsky grew to see his nation's communism as both criminal and philistine. He took his first posting for Russian intelligence in 1968 and eventually became the Soviet Union's top man in London, but from 1973 on he was secretly working for MI6.

No hype with this title

This truly is the greatest espionage story of the Cold War. The elements are so thrilling and the characters so rich that I cannot imagine this not being made into a great limited television series. But don’t wait. Give this a listen. Your inner spy will thank you for it!

A fascinating story…

… About an incredibly important piece of history that could’ve been lost to time. I only wish that in sharing this narrative, the author had given us further insight into the lives of the soldiers he chose to follow.

Historia
Just Kids begins as a love story and ends as an elegy. It serves as a salute to New York City during the late 60s and 70s and to its rich and poor, its hustlers and hellions. A true fable, it is a portrait of two young artists' ascent, a prelude to fame.

Blown away
Revisado: 07-13-20
I have listened to some extraordinary books, both fiction and nonfiction, over the years. Until now, I have never reached a point where the book ends and I cannot wait to listen to it all over again. Patti Smith‘s daft hand and poetic mind make this experience of being just kids invaluable.

Historia
Social scientist Brené Brown has ignited a global conversation on courage, vulnerability, shame, and worthiness. Her pioneering work uncovered a profound truth: Vulnerability—the willingness to show up and be seen with no guarantee of outcome—is the only path to more love, belonging, creativity, and joy. But living a brave life is not always easy: We are, inevitably, going to stumble and fall.

Invaluable
Revisado: 04-15-17
Vulnerability is not a magical word. Nor is it something to be feared. It is work and it is courage and it is an opportunity to fulfill one's true self. It's not all touchy-feely, and Brené Brown does her levelheaded best to give the listener real and honest insight into what it means to live in a fulfilling and loving way -- in all of the relationships in our lives. I look forward to listening to this book again and will be recommending it because it's too valuable to keep to myself!
