I have never written a review. THIS....needs a review. The female narrator is horrible. I have heard her in other audio books but hoped this one would be more tolerable. Not a chance. She slurs like she's drunk or half asleep. Mainly whines thru her lines. Speaks way too slowly. I had to speed it up just to get thru the story. She never properly relays the proper energy or emotion.
The story....I have listened to ALOT of Bratva and mafia stories. This one has soooo many issues. One is that the leader is not called a DON. He also would never be so unprotected or unorganized. Too many issues regarding the Bratva theme to mention.
The female lead is weak and just rediculous. So much was left out that it feels like the writer either has no knowledge of her storyline (woman's body after childbirth) or didn't feel like putting in the effort to make it a realistic story.
The non-stop back and forth of trust/no trust, loyalty/betrayal is just too much.
This had the makings of a great Bratva "romance" if not for all of the errors and rediculousness. The writer needs to focus on quality, not quantity.
Not sure I will waste money on this author again. I definitely will not purchase another story with this female narrator.
