Historia
Becca still can't remember the night 16-year-old Jessica disappeared from a party, never to be seen again. Which is bad enough (especially since she was supposedly the last person to see Jessica alive), but it's not the worst.... Strange events are making Becca think there's a link between what happened to Jessica 15 years ago and the darkness happening now. With help from her friends and her teenage crush, Daniel, Becca races against time to uncover the truth about Jessica before another 16-year-old girl is doomed to the same fate as Jessica....

A great story, awesomely narrated!
Revisado: 02-25-24
Massive fan of narrator couple Michael Kramer and Kate Reading, Loved the story and characters too, big focus on family which is not that common in the fantasy genre, I liked that one of the main characters was a father and family man.

Revisado: 12-02-22
Action packed, lots of emotion and character development, Marasi and Wayne really stood out as heroic characters. And the narration by Michael Kramer outstanding as usual! Two thumbs up, way up!

She's not who she thinks she is, and the real her is a very different person to the one whom others have mistreated and exploited.

Historia
A murder made to look like suicide. Another that appears an accident. DI Barton investigates the tragedies that have shattered a family’s lives, but without obvious leads, the case goes nowhere. Then, when the remains of a body are found, everything points to one suspect. Barton and his team move quickly, and once the killer is behind bars, they can all breathe a sigh of relief. But death still lurks in the shadows, and no one's soul is safe. Not even those of the Detectives.

Revisado: 11-01-22
A terrific continuation from "The Snow Killer" (be sure to read that one first), I like the fact that the events from book 1 is relevant and does not leave DI Barton and crew unaffected, yet they soldier on, with s very different crime and killer. Oh, and the narrator is great, as well!

But then, nothing - no further crimes are committed, and the case goes cold. 50 years later, has the urge to kill been reawakened? As murder follows murder, the detective team tasked with solving the crimes struggle with the lack of leads. It’s a race against time and the weather - each time it snows, another person dies.

Revisado: 10-27-22
Aside from the incredible twist (of which I can't say anything more obviously) this was a great little listening experience with great and memorable characters! I can't wait to sink my teeth into the next book in the series. Oh, and the narrator was great too!

Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

Plot twists aplenty
Revisado: 10-17-22
One heck of a story, a rollercoaster really of one unexpected plot twist after another, stretching credibility and believeability to a certain extent. Still, all worth it, for the sake of a good yarn. Aside from this, I also liked the narrator very much, a calm, warm voice guiding all these Scottish and Australian characters and their accents with a firm grip. I am actually a little bit dismayed that she's not done any more recordings, apart from a short 4 hour novella that I will be sure to check out next.

Historia
Maps have a mysterious hold over us. Whether ancient, crumbling parchments or generated by Google, maps tell us things we want to know, not only about our current location or where we are going but about the world in general. And yet, when it comes to geo-politics, much of what we are told is generated by analysts and other experts who have neglected to refer to a map of the place in question.

Revisado: 03-23-20
As the headline says, if Scott Brick is the narrator then you have already sold it to me. This ofc is the first non-fiction that I've bought with the wondeful mister Scott Brick as the narrator. Now, as luck would have it I find the subject of maps and geo-politics to be a fascinating subject, so it was a match mafe in heaven!

Historia
The bards are the people's voice and their sword. All over the kingdom of Deverry, the common people are demanding a change that will wrest power from the landed aristocracy: reform of the corrupt law courts. In the city of Aberwyn, the situation catches fire when the authorities allow the death of a bard from a hunger strike rather than hear the people’s protest. But things haven’t always been this way.

Feels so great to be back in Deverry, and with a fresh start set some three hundred years later from the previous cycles, anyone can join in the fun. With new characters and an exciting and involving plotline, Oh and the narrator is great as well!
