Historia
Life, Starr reminds us, is holy ground. Lyrical and tender, filled with profound wisdom and mind-opening insights, Ordinary Mysticism is about finding wonder in regular life, grounded in lessons from spiritual teachers across the centuries—from Julian of Norwich to Ram Dass. Starr combines their ancient wisdom with the story of her own personal and spiritual journey—from surviving the heartbreak of her fourteen-year-old daughter’s death to growing up amid the 1960s counterculture that introduced her to mysticism to her self-made spiritual practice of today.

Historia
Whether disillusioned by the dominant church or unfulfilled by traditional expressions of faith, many of us long for a deeper spirituality. Victoria Loorz did. Coping with an unraveling vocation, identity, and planet, Loorz turned to the wanderings of spiritual leaders and the sanctuary of the natural world. With an ecospiritual lens on biblical narratives and a fresh look at a community larger than our own species, Church of the Wild uncovers the wild roots of faith and helps us deepen our commitment to a suffering earth by falling in love with it—and calling it church.

An honest look at the true essence of church.

This book was well written and informative. The history and personal stories add to the charm of the book. I know it has helped me on my journey to understand what I believe. My mother died a year ago and it made me question my beliefs. This book certainly helped me during this journey.

Historia
In Rooted, cutting-edge science supports a truth that poets, artists, mystics, and earth-based cultures across the world have proclaimed over millennia: Life on this planet is radically interconnected. Our bodies, thoughts, minds, and spirits are affected by the whole of nature, and they affect this whole in return. In this time of crisis, how can we best live upon our imperiled, beloved earth? Award-winning writer Lyanda Lynn Haupt’s highly personal new book is a brilliant invitation to live with the earth in both simple and profound ways.

Magical
Revisado: 10-11-23
This book was magical, the way Lyanda views and describes the natural world is melodic. My mom passed away four months ago and chose to go to a forensic body farm. The description of a body's natural decay was very comforting for me. This is a beautiful book.

Historia
Each day we face a barrage of images and messages from society and the media telling us who, what, and how we should be. We are led to believe that if we could only look perfect and lead perfect lives, we'd no longer feel inadequate. So most of us perform, please, and perfect, all the while thinking, What if I can't keep all of these balls in the air? Why isn't everyone else working harder and living up to my expectations? What will people think if I fail or give up? When can I stop proving myself?

My mother passed away a little over two months ago. I have been grieving not just her death, but our relationship. We loved each other and never appreciated each others differences. This book helped me get in touch with many things I was feeling about our contentious relationship. It was just what I needed. Thank you Brene, whenever I need an kick in my ass but feel good book... you are always there!

Historia
Ever wondered why you're feeling out of balance, stressed-out, sick, and exhausted but still can't sleep? Western medicine often ignores the underlying issues that can lead to fatigue, illness, and disease, but there is a way to revitalize your body and mind without drugs or dangerous side effects. Ayurveda, the "science of life", is a complete wellness system that includes all that we associate with medical care - prevention of disease, observation, diagnosis, and treatment - as well as self-care practices that are generally absent from Western medicine.

Informative
Revisado: 12-11-19
This was very informative and provides a basic understanding. It is worth reading/listening to. I would’ve liked the reader to read a little slower, listening to the book felt like running a marathon. The reader seemed to be
in a rush, in a busy world I prefer not to be rushed . It was hard to take notes. The information was helpful and I will integrate it in my daily lifestyle. However. if I did the whole plan as presented I think I would have to quit my job. When I eat and sleep is unfortunately to a degree dictated by my job.
