When I began reading romance I loved her books. I would recommend her to anyone that reads romance. I have moved on to romantic suspense/thrillers or just plain thrillers so they tend to be fast pace and action. I will say it was nice to visit her books again for a bit.

Too much preaching not enough tactical

This pair was my favorite authors but I just can’t finish this book. I have tried so many times to finish but it’s nothing but faith talk. I am a big believer in faith but that is not why I started reading their books. It just a seems so constant that it overwhelmed whatever storyline they have. I don’t know if I will even give their next book a chance. Glad Im able to return this book.

If you are looking for a good military romantic suspense book or audiobook I would have told you to give this author a try.

It was a good listen and I enjoyed it very much. But I don't like cliffhangers. When I read a "book" I expect a conclusion. It would not bother me if it was listed as a part 1, which in my opinion it is, not book 1. I just wanted to give a heads up.

Loved this book!

I loved everything about this book. The story was fast paced. What I would call a page turner, I listened to it straight through and half way through I went and bought the rest of the audio books in this series. There was constant action, Caroline is one tough cookie. Yes she ended up being saved by the entire seal team. But trust me she more than proved herself. That's another thing I liked about this book, I like when the entire seal team is involved not just one guy.
The narration was Excellant. Soothing with all the voices spot on. There are so many narrators that I don't care for that when I get one I really like I am very happy. The narrator can make or break a book for me.

Please excuse my grammar. Obviously I am not a writer.

Now I am off to start the 2nd book in this series. I hope it is as good as this one.

What a great Dragon fantasy listen.

I am going to start with the negative. It is a cliff hanger. It is book 1 of 3 and you will have to get all three to complete the book. I just wish someone had warned me it was a cliffy, it might have stopped me from listening. On the other hand I am glad I wasn't warned otherwise I would have missed out on a great listen. Anyway, I listen to the book and took my notes. I waited a day to decide if I wanted to downgrade it a star because it was a cliffy and wasn't warned. But for me it was a 5 star all the way.

Warning- if you are the type to listen to a book straight thur without stopping or a while then going back to your book then this is fine. I tend to stop for a while then go back which normally isn't a problem but my books are not this in dept.. I tended to have to restart the book many times to keep up with the wealth of characters. But I find this to be true with all fantasy books. There is a lot of main players in this game. But when I sat down and started listening from start to finish it was a great smooth listen. I wish I did this from the beginning. But there are so many players that I wished I had the book to wyspersyc with the audio. I will with the next 2. I am buying them when I am done with this review. The book and narrator where that good.

Now for my thoughts about the book. It was a fast paced exciting book. There is a lot of players. But they were well fleshed out. You got to know all involved which I appreciate, She does introduce the charater's at a good pace instead of all at once. The over all pacing of this book was excellent. There is not much romance in this book, just the couples dancing around the fact. With promises of more to come. But it isn't really needed, and this from someone who demands romance be in her reads. But the fast paced storyline keeps you so involved you don't miss it. That was enough for me.

Now for the Narrator. I enjoyed Fred Wolinsky's narration of this book. I will say that when I listened to the 1st chapter I had my doubts about him. But once I hit chapter 2 that had vanished. I enjoyed his different voices. They were distinct enough that I knew when he jumped from 1 to the next I knew who was talking. I haven't checked but I hope he narrated the next 2 in this series. I will be listening to him again. Now about me on narrators. I have ran into so many that has destroyed a great book for me that I just couldn't listen to it. So when I run across a narrator I enjoy I am thrilled. For me, a narrator can make or break a book. In this book, he help make it in my opinion.

As stated above. This book was a such a enjoyable listen ( see the 5 stars above) that when I am done with this book review I will be buying the next 2 to finish up the series. I will definitely be checking out other books by Margaret Taylor and narration by Fred Wolinsky.

Entertaining story

I loved this book. It is a very entertaining story. Alana can see ghost which is what really drives the story. She must keep it a secret or be proclaimed a witch. Like most secrets it is not so secret.

This is turning into one of my favorite listens. I have probably listen to this book 5 or more times so far and want to start the book all over as soon as it is done. It is a fast pace book which holds my interest. The secondary charater's, the ghosts, provide a humorous aspect that makes you begin to care about them as much as the main charater's. One of the ghost is her brother and the other is Dougald's sister. They are able to help provide all the answers that she is searching for in the death of her father.

The only problem I have with this book is the narrator talking so fast. If I had a way to slow her down I would. It is worth getting past that. She does a wonderful job on the voices.

Give this book a try. I am glad I did.

This is an incomplete book

This is book 1 of 5. It does not wrap up any of the storyline leading me to believe that in order to complete the "book" I will have to buy all 5 books. I just started book 2 in the series and it starts right where this one ends. I wish I had known to before I started listening. I would have waited until I saw the series in a buy 3 for 2 credits. It looks like it will turn out to be an expensive book.
Normally I check reviews before buying, but I didn't on this book. Someone might have already issued this warning and I would not have bothered with the book.

Besides all that the book is pretty good. I gave it a 1 star overall due to being incomplete. This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks that I have ran into this problem. The last time I just returned the book. Right now I am going to give the book a little more chance. In my opinion is it in no way is it a series. To me A series is when each book concludes but the next book starts a new storyline around someone else.

Great listen.

I am so happy with this new narrator. Now if she would just go back and redo The Secret by Julie Garwood I would be thrilled. For me narrators can make or break a good book. This narrator was good. I am not familiar with this narrator so it took me about 5 minutes to get use to her voice. But after that I was happy. I can't express how important a good narrator is to me. A bad one destroys a book while a good one can make an okay book better.

Castles is 1 of many of my favorite books. It is fast paced. Something is always happening with no long and boring periods. I call these types of books page-turners. And this is definitely one. I get bored with books very easily so this is important to me. I never got bored with this one.

The story has a lot of humor. Even after I have read the book so many times that I can read it in my head I still laugh at the funny spots and still look forward to my favorite scenes. I heartily recommend this book to one and all who enjoy a light and relaxing listen. It will bring a smile to your face. I find the characters very endearing. As you can see I don't give a description of the book. I let the publishers do that since I am not very good at writing. But I can give my opinion on what I think of the audio version of the book.

I would suggest you click the buy button on this book. Sit back and enjoy the story. It is a keeper.
