Anticlimactic ending

Heart of the Mist is the last book in the Bound to the Fae series. I’m not sure if I was expecting a twist but the book ending felt very anticlimactic to me. The author does a great job of tying up all the loose ends and leaving the reader with a boring but happy ending.

Chained Soul like all the others in the series picks up where the last book left off. And like the rest of the books the narrators do an amazing job. But I’m beginning to feel like the story line is being dragged out. We are 8 books in and I feel like the author may write at least 3 more. Also please pay attention to the trigger warning at the beginning of the book.

Lies of the Murk is a pretty good book. In true Eva Chase fashion it picks up exactly where the last book ended and ends with a cliffhanger. In this book book we find out a lot more information about Talya and the Murk. As always the narrators do and excellent job.

Predictable

Scorned Princess was okay. A few of the characters including the main were very typical and predictable of this type of book, However, a few of the gang members weren’t. I was able to figure out who the murder was pretty early on despite the authors attempts to lead us off track. But all in all it was an entertaining read and the narrators do an great job.

I’m not sure if It’s because I really enjoyed the first book in the Hero’s of high tide series that made this second book so disappointing but I was very disappointed . I almost stop listening several times because it was just a bit all over the place for me. And the main characters very annoying most of the time. I get lack of communication makes for a good book but the lack of communication between characters was very immature for characters over the age of 20.

Hearts of Darkness is and intense dark romance. Not something I normally listen to so there were several times where I cringed. I did finish the book and didn’t end on an major cliffhanger, although there are many questions that hopefully get answered in the next book.

Eva Chase adds more to the fascinating life of Tallia. Royal Mate picks up exactly where book 3 kings of Moonlight left off. Expanding Talias affections and expanding the complications. Like the proper books Royal mates also ends on a cliffhanger. Overall, it was just ok at least to me.
