Historia
Fourteen-year-old Greg Dixon is living a nightmare. Attending boarding school outside of Boston, he is separated from his family when a pandemic strikes. His classmates and teachers are dead, rotting in a dormitory-turned-morgue steps from his room. The nights are getting colder, and his food has run out. The last message from his father is to get away from the city and to meet at his grandparents' town in remote New Hampshire.

Historia
The highly anticipated follow-up to William R. Forstchen's New York Times best-sellers, One Second After and One Year After, The Final Day immerses listeners once more in the story of our nation's struggle to rebuild itself after an electromagnetic pulse wipes out all electricity and plunges the country into darkness, starvation, and terror.

Excellent ending for a great series
Revisado: 01-17-17
Recommend as a great series for those just starting out as preppers. As realistic as any of the multiple TEOTWAWKI I've listened to over the years. Gave me an obvious answer as to why Washington DC has FAILED to harden our electrical grid from a solar flare or EMP from our enemies. Answer: No need to worry about it because they will be taken care of with taxpayer funded hardened facilities and food.

Historia
You will never read Denny Younger's name in any history book, will never know what he's done. But even if you did, you'd never believe it. The world as you know it wouldn't be the same without him. Denny was born into one of the lowest rungs of society, but his bleak fortunes abruptly change when the mysterious Upjohn Institute recruits him to be a Rewinder, a verifier of personal histories. The job at first sounds like it involves researching old books and records, but Denny soon learns it's far from it.

Great start to a series
Revisado: 11-08-16
Would you listen to Rewinder again? Why?
Yes...great story
Have you listened to any of Vikas Adam’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
great job!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Whole story was good
Any additional comments?
Loved this book but refuse to order the second do to poor reviews. starting to recognize a pattern where Brett Battles starts a great series then dials it in on the follow-up. In addition his books are too short...better value elsewhere.

Stepping through her doorway, he expects to find her sitting up in bed, frightened by a nightmare. But the nightmare is his. It's real. And it's just beginning....

Barely good enough to give book 2 a look...
Revisado: 10-31-16
What did you like best about Sick? What did you like least?
Believable plot Too short... but just good enough to start the 2nd book. Poor character development.
Would you be willing to try another book from Brett Battles? Why or why not?
Trying book 2 of the Project Eden series but after 3 hours in there are too many holes in the story-line. Decided to return all 3 books I purchased from this series after the leader Matt says that Captain Ash has to lead the effort to the journey up north to get the people in charge of the project. Other than being immune to the virus the captain has no identifiable skill sets to show why he has to go and is the only person capable of pulling off the job.
What about MacLeod Andrews’s performance did you like?
Very good...ranks up there with some of the best I've heard.
Do you think Sick needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Has a follow up book...
Any additional comments?
Disappointed. I've listened to a large amount of these type stories and this attempt is sub-par in my opinion but I tried since the reviews were very good. Since the books are returnable suggest trying out based solely on the reviews from others. As for me I can see the writer has talent so I may try one of his other series.

Two weeks have passed since the lights went out and in that time, Nicholas McNeil has assembled the equipment, a team of devoted survivors and has located a safe place to go hunker down. The catch is that it's over a thousand miles away. He is ready for a tough journey but as the miles grow longer he discovers he's not quite as prepared for what mankind is capable of until he's face to face with it. He discovers the once picturesque landscape has been replaced with brutality and barbarism.

Lost me with the magical elements
Revisado: 06-08-16
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Not preppers for sure
What was most disappointing about John W. Vance’s story?
This story was short but coming into it...had great characters and potential with the exception of Michael's story but lost credibility with the magical element in Michael's story.
suggest rewrite of Michael's story and lengthen to 8 0r 9 hours and I would buy again. Too many great prepper stories available to endorse this book.
Did Joseph Morton do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Great job...as always
What character would you cut from The Defiant: An Unbeaten Path?
Redevelop Michael's story...lengthen the story and rerelease
Any additional comments?
Mr. Vance...with your background...why did you take a magical path?

Disappointed...after listening to Jakarta Pandemic
Revisado: 03-03-15
What disappointed you about Black Flagged?
Was unable to engage with the characters and it stopped unexpectantly
What was most disappointing about Steven Konkoly’s story?
If I had listened to this before Jakarta Pandemic it would have been slightly better. Hard to believe they come from the same author.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment...hoped it would improve as I delved deeper into the book.
Any additional comments?
Steven needs to read some other authors who do Black Flagged type stories to see all the areas he falls short compared to them.
