Is humility a Christlike attribute that should be pursued? And even if it should be, can genuine humility actually be attained? Often so practical in application that it is overlooked, the answer is found by studying the life and words of Christ (whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your slave). This little book is a loud call to all committed Christians to prove that meekness and lowliness of heart is the evidence by which those who follow the meek and lowly Lamb of God are to be known.

It's a good day to die!
Revisado: 01-04-25
Since the early 1990s, I have intermittently been reading this book with the aspiration of not merely acquiring knowledge and teaching it but also experiencing a profound, supernaturally divine revelation of humility to the point where people see Jesus in me and His humility because: “It is Christ in me, the hope of glory.” As stated in the Bible, “Christ is my life; I no longer live, but it is Christ who lives in me.” Technically, as a believer, I am merely a corpse, a dead man walking around, striving to be guided by the Spirit, not simply feigning, performing, or posing, but through genuine humility. By His grace, I must humble myself, disregarding my own life and choosing Him over sin and what my flesh perceives as pleasurable, or in other words, pride.
I first encountered the Lord in 1973, at the age of 19. Now, at the age of 70, I have come to the realization that much of my purported Christian life was merely a charade, a pretense of faith. I was well-versed in the word and its teachings, capable of captivating and astounding those I encountered, but it was mostly a facade, a performance. In all honesty, I believe I deserve an Academy Award.
Fortunately, in my later years, I am finally grasping the significance of true humility and the God-given discipline of choosing to walk out what He has worked in me only by His grace, which is “His power being perfected in my weakness.” My title suggests, “It is a good day to die,” I just realized I've been saying that for years when, in reality, I'm already dead; I was crucified with Christ. I don't think a dead person can become any more dead than dead. As I'm writing this, I'm starting to wonder how ridiculous it is to lean on my own twisted, absurd understanding and pretending to be a good Christian boy when I'm anything else but a good boy; in the flesh, I am nothing but a perverted, selfish, self-centered, narcissistic, vile person deserving of hell and destruction, but thank God through Jesus Christ my Lord. He is giving me the grace to choose to walk in some of the “Humility” that this book describes.
I could go on, but there you go.

Powerfully Redemptive Testimony
Revisado: 07-02-24
if you take advantage of reading this book, hearing his testimony has the potential of truly saving and changing your life here and here after.
No matter how deep you are in addiction, bondage, and absolute decay. Recognizing you're a sinner, needing to be saved from a selfish, self-centered, sinful, depressing, maybe even suicidal life. Then truly repenting, turning from your sinful life, and He, the creator of the universe, who also created you and knows you and knows what you need to be free, He will come into you and save your life not only here but hereafter as well. Jesus is bigger. He can save and redeem you (meaning pay the penalty for your sin,) which Jesus died to pay for. If you are not born again, and you don’t honestly know Him, you will have to pay for your own sinful self centered life. Your eyes need to be opened to the power of the cross that He died on, paying the penalty for your sin that you deserve; if you don’t repent and surrender your life to Jesus, you will eventually be consumed by eternity in hellfire.
Jesus could save you from your destructive life, giving you a new life of freedom knowing Jesus Christ through your repentance (turning from your sinful life and surrendering your life to Him/Jesus.) Not only will this book bring you an understanding of the cross of Jesus Christ and what it means, but it will also give you the ability to be genuinely free and experience life more abundantly here and now. You will become a new creation by the power of the cross of Jesus/God, the creator of the universe, He wants a relationship with you and to come and live in you transforming your life, but it also will save you from the fiery pit of hell. This book will provide you with incredible hope. Knowing the trauma this brother went through will help you realize it’s not too late and it’s not impossible. God‘s love is greater than your addiction and feelings of powerlessness. He is available for you if you will come to Him, Jesus.

This classic work unfolds the path of Christian faith and presents the eternal purpose of God in simple terms. Nee's discussion and writings on the book of Romans is truly challenging. His classic work takes on many difficult subjects and radically challenges current Christian culture.

A great study on Romans six through eight.
Revisado: 03-26-15
I have been reading this book over and over through the years, ever since first meeting my Lord Jesus in 1973. My Bible says that, "If I walk in the Spirit I will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature." "It is not I who live but Christ who lives in me." Apart from the Bible and My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers, this is my most recommended book. I purchase it by the dozens to distribute to those that I disciple.
