Historia
All of our relationships and decisions involve trading at some level. This is a book about decision-making through the lens of a professional prop trader. For years, behavioral and cognitive scientists have shown us how human decision-making is flawed and biased. But how do you learn to avoid these problems in day-to-day decisions where you have to react in real-time? What are the important things to think about and to act on?

Very basic and quiet
Revisado: 10-03-23
Book explaining very basic for people not experienced with trading and stocks.
Misleading title, and too quiet performance.
For the "Beginner's guide to trade theory" it would be well worth reading.
For people from the industry is just a waste of time.

Decent book, fun listen
Revisado: 07-12-21
Would like to get more numbers on experiments, best accompanied by stats on a website or a presentation slides/spreadsheet.
It’s an audiobook from the Internet, why not link to the Morgensons, or to some of case studies mentioned in the book?
Apart from that was a fun and interesting listen

Historia
In Super Bowl XLIX, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll made one of the most controversial calls in football history: With 26 seconds remaining, and trailing by four at the Patriots' one-yard line, he called for a pass instead of a handing off to his star running back. The pass was intercepted, and the Seahawks lost. Critics called it the dumbest play in history. But was the call really that bad? Or did Carroll actually make a great move that was ruined by bad luck? Even the best decision doesn't yield the best outcome every time.

All I wanted and some more
Revisado: 03-11-20
Very well told story with great examples.
I liked how the story was told and explained with a lot of details.
My only concern is abundance of USA specific examples with games (is it baseball or rugby or American football?) which were completely unclear for non-US person.
Also would like to get more out of accompanying PDF;
But the bottomline is this book is really good.

Very informative and well told
Revisado: 02-24-20
I got what I came for.
Very good story and well told. Like the examples, pictures, interviews and study results.
A lot of studies, explained and put into examples, described in great details.
What I particularly liked is lack of advertising and truly scientific take on things.
And of course ideas about future implications were welcomed :)

Great for US citizens
Revisado: 09-06-19
The book starts really great, but almost every example is not known or has no emotional/historical value for people outside US.
What’s you “why” for bringing in so many examples? The answer is - reader should feel emotional, deep connection to the person from the example. However most examples (maybe apart of Apple) got no international reach and sounds like an educational Discovery Channel program.
One of the best examples, the TiVo was completely unknown company to me. Same goes for many historical persons; as I might have heard about many of them, it doesn’t resonate at all, because it’s all foreign history. Would be great to have examples from US, Asia, Europe and Australia.

Great for USA citizens
Revisado: 05-18-19
The book started very cool and interesting, presenting a lot of useful insights and ideas.
However in the second part all examples skewed into USA history which I, as an outsider, know not very good.
So part of the story flew by past me.
Apart from that well worth listening to!

Exceptional start, sad finish.
Revisado: 02-28-19
My expectations of the book was the reason I didn’t like it very much.
The story begins as a number of fun and upbeat novels, starring mysterious but down to Earth “holy man” and different people comes up to see him, getting not what they wanted, but what they factually needed.
In several hours story became a story of an older man and his journey, which is good on its own, but too philosophical and sad to my liking.
The performance is top notch and I guess
if you are looking for a drama - this is a very good book (or, I’d rather say, a play?).
Just not to my liking.

Historia
Human beings are primates, and primates are political animals. Our brains, therefore, are designed not just to hunt and gather but also to help us get ahead socially, often via deception and self-deception. But while we may be self-interested schemers, we benefit by pretending otherwise. The less we know about our own ugly motives, the better - and thus, we don't like to talk, or even think, about the extent of our selfishness. This is "the elephant in the brain".

Great book, wonderful story, but in the very end medical, charity and religious chapters are valid mostly for US citizens, and provide very little useable information for non-US citizens.
Other than that, book is awesome.

Some wisdom, some common knowledge.
Revisado: 02-21-19
I like the author, and his narrating style.
However, there are too many “fucks”, common know facts and over generalizations in the book;
In addition to that, book leans to the “pick up artist” area; and in my opinion there is no better pick up author than David DeAngelo.
Overall, I do not think the book will do good to any man older than 30~

Very interesting but short story
Revisado: 02-21-19
The story is well told and narrated, discovering interesting facts about one of the legendary bands. However I would like it to have told a bit more about pre-Folsom times of Cash, and dive a bit deeper into his co-musicians from the band, so it would get more “meat” to it.
Now it feels like just an episode from life; but in fact this episode shaped life and history for the band and main characters.
