Historia
When offered a one-way trip to the past, Isabel sacrifices everything for a chance to change the rapidly deteriorating present - and see her murdered lover one last time. When she arrives 20 years in the past, buck naked and mortally wounded, she has 24 hours to convince a stunned but enraptured 19-year-old to change their future. Definitely easier said than done, as success means losing him to a brainy, smart-mouthed bombshell (her younger self), and that's a heart breaker, save the world or not.

It's one of those books that you like and dislike.
No doubt, the writer is talented and did an extensive behind-the-scene work to put the elements of his/her fiction together.
However, I was lost among the shifting in themes and felt at certain moments that the story loses its coherence. It's an end-of-the-world type of story, but this is not the main focus. Sometimes, at certain moments, the characters seemed to be moving in vacuum. The plot is mainly based on a hypothesis in physics.
The love story is well written and the way the author tried to connect it to the end of the world theme was unique and interesting.
All in all, the narration is good, with different voice actors and all. I loved the female protagonist, Izzy. The only drawback is that the narrator who did the male protagonist, Diego, was talking too fast and was doing other characters with little voice alteration which was, sometimes, a bit difficult to tell who was talking.

Historia
The South Beach Diet is a lifetime approach of healthy eating by balancing the lean protein, good carbs, and healthy fats in your meals. This diet focuses on consuming plenty of fiber by including more vegetables and fruits in your eating plan. The low glycemic load of this weight loss method also prevents the increase of blood sugar, which helps fight food cravings, which in turn helps shed the excess pounds and even prevent the development of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

I have mixed feelings about this book.
It started off as a plane crash and moved to a post end of the world theme.
The best elements of the plot slipped away one by one as the story progressed. It was frustrating as all the good effect of having a number of different characters, each with their own voice vanished one by one.
The craziness, absurdity and nothingness of zombies took over the story telling itself, leaving the plot "empty handed."
The book kept me hooked, scared me beyond my comfort zone. The style is energetic and fast. Seldom use of nouns in the narrative always the name.
Loved it but was disappointed by the way everything moved to total loss and nothingness.

Historia
The great cataclysm wiped almost all life from the face of planet Earth, but tiny pockets of survivors crawled from the ashes, with only one thought: survival, at any cost. But not all survivors were human. In the dark, militant society that has risen in the aftermath, vampires, once thought to be mythical, have been assimilated and enslaved. Used for blood sport their lives are allowed to continue only for the entertainment of the masses.

The humans are the most dangerous beasts on earth. Well, we all know that, don't we? Yet, there is always kindness and hope. The novel introduces us to that new world where humans do their old mistakes once again.
I like fighting for freedom themes, which is what this book, at least this first part, is all about. It is a good novel, depicting vampires under a different light. You might even forget they are vampires.
The audio narrator is the best. I enjoyed listening to her.
One thing though, the prologue is a short cut and it might have spoiled the beginning of the the story by giving out all the information the easy way. I believe it would have been more interesting to weave an elaborate back story within the narrative.

Historia
It started off a day like any other, as these kinds of days always do. Sara, personal trainer, almost makes it to lunch before chaos strikes her upscale gym. Instead of meeting with an afternoon client, she finds herself face-to-face with what she can only describe as rabid cannibals. The whole first floor of the building quickly becomes a bloodbath, and she hides away in her office, hoping this is just a bad dream.

Good narrator but perhaps a female narrator would have been more suitable. It's true that it's a third-person narration but from the perspective of a female protagonist.
Not really sure if this is a good book or not because I just listened to one episode. But, generally, there is nothing new here. The usual elements of a zombie-end-of-the-world usual themes. Aparat from calling them cannibals the author did not introduce a novel idea of any sort.
Some disruption between events and the justification of these events takes place here and there.
The main theme is of one survival in a sea of walking deads. The hero is a woman but acts like the usual hero of such a context. Unisex kind of heroes.
The author tried to give her a voice but not sure if he made it.
Not a bad listen, all in all. Might get more interesting in the next episodes.

This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of AudiobookBlast dot com.The audio narrator acts the story well. The voice is perfectly compatible with the character. This book is really good and deserves a better book cover. The cover did a lot of damage to it and it gives a total different impression. It did the book much injustice.I like the journal formatThere is an overuse of the sh** word. Sometimes it is just the character way of saying things, other times, it's laziness to look for a proper word or a way to describe how he feelsNot the usual zombie story for sure. It focuses on the human side more than the thrill and horror. I loved the focus angle of the plot. I liked the way it shows the gray area between humans and zombies. One thing though in the structure of the novel. It was confusing the switch between the diaries and the third person narrations. Although these were good, but maybe it would have better to dedicate an independent book for them, to tell the story from a third person perspective and fill the gaps in the diaries. It might have been a good idea to change the audio narrator when the narrator changes in the story.Impressive plotting and tight story line. Great attention to details and credibility of the events.

Good book

Plot: has the usual paranormal elements
Doesn't add any inventive facts or contradict what has been established in the genre.
Has a reasonable suspense dose, using the theme of family secrets.
The story doesn't raise important questions and is content to put together a supernatural hunting adventure
Good flow of language. Dialogue is predominant. Little action.
The comedy tunes down the usual violence. Nice effect.
Cliffhanger, would have preferred a complete story.
Narrator: It's not easy to get a voice that matches the narrator in the book. This time a good choice was made. I listen to many audio books and in many cases, the narrator is talented and has the ability to versify his/her voice but the voice itself does not match the character it represents.

I enjoyed listening to this book. Good story with a tight plot. The storyline is dynamic and it keeps you eager to learn the rest.
The story reminded me with some stories from the old European literatures. It combines the elements of comedy and fantasy.
