Historia
Scarlett Vandermeer is swimming upstream. A Junior at Stanford and a student-athlete who specializes in platform diving, Scarlett prefers to keep her head down, concentrating on getting into med school and on recovering from the injury. She has no time for relationships. Swim captain, world champion, all-around aquatics golden boy Lukas Blomqvist thrives on discipline. It’s how he wins gold medals and breaks records: complete focus, with every stroke. On the surface, Lukas and Scarlett have nothing in common. Until a well-guarded secret slips out, and everything changes.

Ali's best so far
Revisado: 03-12-25
[Non native speaker here]: liked the angst, the diving stuff, the therapy part and both main characters.. The spicy scenes became too repetitive and too graphic though. Therese's performance as Scarlett was amazing as usually. The male narrator was great too. What I didn't like was the editing. I may be wrong, but it sounded like both narrators did their work separately and it was put together only later. It was simply "staccato" to me with unnatural pauses during Scarlett's and Lucas' conversations.

Historia
When mystery author D. B. Ziegler is late delivering her book, Abi Schore steps in to help. Surely she can give her favorite author moral support over the holiday break and get the manuscript to her boss at Tea & Sympathy Publishing in time for the new year. When Abi shows up on Ms. Ziegler’s doorstep bearing holiday treats, she’s met by the author’s handsome grandson Dov, who reveals a startling plot twist. His grandmother isn’t able to finish the book and Dov promised he’d complete it so fans won’t be disappointed—a task that’s harder than he ever imagined.

Sweet and cosy
Revisado: 12-21-24
A nice short listen with sweet story and simple plot. I would have given 5 stars but the reasons why both characters liked each other were not really convincing or explained: alright, he was nice and attractive (and that about sums it up) but MFC lacked any personal traits (apart from being a fan of his grandma) or physical description...

I loved it! One of the best audiobooks I have listened to so far. The narration was a pure perfection. I am looking forward to more books written by this author.

Funny, cute, plus a great narrator
Revisado: 08-30-24
(non-native speaker here) I loved the previous book written by this writer and this one didn't disappoint either. The Claudia Jessie's performance in the Rebound was excellent, and the narrator of this one was pure perfection too. I liked that even though this is a romantic comedy genre, there was a development of MFC and the plot itself was not only about romance but also about the past, the lost, the grief etc. It added layers to the story. There were some cringy moments, I won't deny it, especially when Charlie was expressing his feelings (I seriously doubt any man speak so eloquently and poetically), but overall it was a great listen. I also appreciate that there were no explicit graphic sex scenes. It can be done without them

Hannah Brooks looks more like a kindergarten teacher than somebody who could kill you with a wine bottle opener. Or a ballpoint pen. Or a dinner napkin. But the truth is, she’s an Executive Protection Agent (aka "bodyguard"), and she just got hired to protect superstar actor Jack Stapleton from his middle-aged, corgi-breeding stalker.

Great narrator, mediocre story
Revisado: 07-14-24
(ESL listener here) The narrator was great, the story not so much. Mediocre writing, repetitive parts, superficially written main characters. I liked the idea of woman as a bodyguard but I didn't really see her as a pro. Too many self-esteem troubles for my taste. However, I appreciate the absence of smut and graphic scenes.

Daphne always loved the way her fiancé Peter told their story. How they met (on a blustery day), fell in love (over an errant hat), and moved back to his lakeside hometown to begin their life together. He really was good at telling it…right up until the moment he realized he was actually in love with his childhood best friend Petra. Which is how Daphne begins her new story.

We all need Miles in our lives
Revisado: 06-13-24
(Non native speaker here) I have loved last 2 EH's books - yes, they were more angsty, but the personal background of both main characters was built much better than in her previous books. The only problem which I have with her books are the looong declamations of love/explanations of main characters at the end of every one of her books. Overall I liked the book, the characters and as usual - I loved Julia Whelan's narration.

Historia

Savannah Cade's dreams are coming true. The Claire Donovan, editor-in-chief of the most successful romance publishing company in the country, has requested to see the manuscript Savannah's been secretly writing. The only problem: she's an editor for a different company, and their philosophy is only highbrow works are worth printing and romance should be reserved for the lowest level of Dante's inferno.

Nice quick listen if you don't want anything too deep. It's not superb romance but I liked the lack of sex scenes and slowburn. However it was so predictable that it felt cringe at times.

Harriet and Wyn have been the perfect couple since they met in college—they go together like salt and pepper, honey and tea, lobster and rolls. Except, now—for reasons they’re still not discussing—they don’t. They broke up five months ago. And still haven’t told their best friends.

Best book of EH
Revisado: 01-20-24
(A foreigner speaking here - sorry for my mistakes) I loved everything. The emotional roller-coaster, the depth of characters, the development of plot... It was a bit different than others books of EH, but for me personally, in a positive way. Closer to women's fiction than overly sweet romance. One particular part made me cry (thank you Julia Whelan:) which has never ever happened to me before. Great listen and beautifully written story.

They say Paris is always a good idea.... You know what I say? Paris would be a much better idea if I spoke the dang language. I can't even board the metro to visit the Louvre without ending up at the Moulin Rouge, and let's not even mention how I'll ever make it through a day at my new office. Fortunately my company hooks me up with my own personal translator. Ooh la la. Or should I say bloody hell? Because he's charming, witty, and British, and he brings the city to life for me.
