Would you consider the audio edition of Matilda to be better than the print version?

The audio version is definitely equal to the film and the book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Matilda?

The description of the Chokey always gives me chills!

What about Kate Winslet’s performance did you like?

Kate Winslet's narration is lovely, and her characterisation is spot on.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It definitely made me laugh out loud in a few places.

Would you listen to The Mystery of the Blue Train again? Why?

The Mystery of the Blue Train is one of my favourite Christie novels, and I think Hugh Fraser did a wonderful job mimicking David Suchet's Poirot voice, as well as making the women sound normal instead of overly feminine.

What other book might you compare The Mystery of the Blue Train to and why?

And Then There Were None, narrated by the same actor, but with no Poirot, so no fallback character. A wonderfully creepy rendition of Justice Wargrave.

What about Hugh Fraser’s performance did you like?

Wonderfully varied in voice, with each character distinct by sound alone, and his natural voice is perfect for narrating.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Katherine tells Poirot she can't go on, Hugh Fraser captures the distress in her voice in a perfect, yet understated, manner.

Any additional comments?

Would recommend to anyone and everyone - thoroughly enjoyable!

Would you consider the audio edition of Shades of Grey to be better than the print version?

I like them both, but the audio version really did bring the book to life. I especially enjoyed all the different voices by Gareth Armstrong.

What other book might you compare Shades of Grey to and why?

The Eyre Affair and The Big Over Easy by the same author. He takes you to a completely different place with each novel, and keeps it going at a rollicking pace, making it a good, fun read.

What about Gareth Armstrong’s performance did you like?

He was spot on with all the voices, adding a little venom here, a little uncertainty there, and was an absolute pleasure to listen to.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Perception is everything,

Any additional comments?

I can't recommend this highly enough - it was a wonderful thing to listen to in the car (I put it on my iPhone and listened through the car speakers), and highly entertaining.
