Performer sometimes mispronounced words; Started out with an English accent for bartender, but later dropped it. Character voice was then same as Jared’s.

It's customary for Gothic romance novels to include a mysterious girl locked in the attic. Hannah Smith just wishes she wasn't that girl. As a narcoleptic and the companion to an earl's daughter with a strange affliction of her own, Hannah knows she's lucky to have a roof over her head and food in her belly when so many orphans starve on the streets. Yet freedom is something Hannah longs for. She did not, however, want her freedom to arrive in the form of kidnapping.

The lousy voice actress
Revisado: 02-28-24
Hated the actress reading the story. She made Sylvia sound insipid, with a high nasal voice that sounded like a shriek. The male voices were annoying, distorted and had weird mannerisms that didn’t match the hará tees.

Historia
It was a typical evening at a mall outside Portland, Maine. Three teenage friends waited for the movie to start. A boy flirted with the girl selling sunglasses. Mothers and children shopped together, and the manager at the video game store tended to customers. Then the shooters arrived. The chaos and carnage lasted only eight minutes before the killers were taken down. But for those who lived through it, the effects would last forever.

Beautifully written, as always. The serial killer at the center of the story seems like a timely illustration o where we are as a country where every day 327 people are shot, on average.

And Grayhaven, an authentic medieval manor, proves to be nothing short of miraculous. But at the end of three weeks Anne realizes that she and Kevin have not added one new sentence to their book. What is it about this house that is so disturbing?

Meandering plot, unsatisfying ending

I always enjoy Barbara Rosenblatt’s performance, but the protagonist’s conclusion left much to be desired. The way she reached it seemed as likely because of mental illness as her ratiocination.
