Historia
The human soldiers stranded on the planet Paradise have been recruited into an alien legion to do the dirty jobs that the high-tech species won't do. Their first mission is to kick the enemy off a backwater planet no one cares about. It's a simple assignment, except everyone has a hidden agenda, and the planet could become a deathtrap.

Revisado: 12-06-19
The story is just as compelling as the others.
The performance is top notch.
I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for book 2.
And here the heck does he come up with these details, and how does he make them exciting.
A gift! Both the author and the narrator!

Historia
After the latest mission of the starship Flying Dutchman, Earth is safe not just for a year, but for hundreds of years. The ship’s weary crew wonders what they will do with their lives in peacetime, but the enemy has other plans, and there is danger on the Homefront. Starring Zachary Quinto, R.C. Bray, Kate Mulgrew, Robert Picardo, and everyone's favorite AI, Skippy the Magnificent, alongside a full cast. Includes plenty of pew-pew-pew, original sound composition, and maybe some singing by R.C. Bray.

It's a good continuation, but.....
Revisado: 12-06-19
The performance sucked. It was just not up to par. I love many of those voice actors, but it was choppy, not well performed, and I'd just rather listen to R.C. Bray - or one. The theatrics and music and sound just were out of what I enjoy.
They talent is great.
The story is really great - although it seemed like it was just thrown in there.
I'd recommend because it adds to the story.
Hey - if you like the production, no problem. It just wasn't my thing. No disrespect.

Disappointing an shallow listen
Revisado: 11-18-12
There are a doen authors who can catpure your attention far more effective than Hunter.
The storyline has potential, but seems very contrived and unnatrual. Character development lacks setup and its like watching a quicky TV show than a real novel.
The story is superficial at best, I'm afraid.
The reader just doesn't have that interesting voice to capture my attention.
This was a recommended read, but I say stick with the real writers.

Historia
Four US Navy SEALS departed one clear night in early July 2005 for the mountainous Afghanistan-Pakistan border for a reconnaissance mission. Their task was to document the activity of an al Qaeda leader rumored to have a small army in a Taliban stronghold. Five days later, only one of those Navy SEALS made it out alive. This is the story of the only survivor of Operation Redwing, SEAL team leader Marcus Luttrell, and the extraordinary firefight that led to the largest loss of life in American Navy SEAL history.

Masterful! My hats off to you!!!
Revisado: 09-12-12
Heart wrenching, heroic, grueling . . .and its true.
I don't know Marcus, but I know someone who does, and they say he's a true hero.
He's strong in every way.
This story has so much information in it - Patrick Robinson really helped fill out this story into something that paints the full picture.
Unbelievable. You can't write fiction that can create this scenario.
Unbelievable, yet true.
It got a little "conservative" and "overly patriotic" at times. One step beyond what I think what middle America is about. But regardless, he shares his true feelings and deserves a pat on the back (and more) for it.
Definitely get this one!

I read this book out of sequence - the last - because I didn't have it.
And it stands on its own.
Imaginative but based on real science. It takes it beyond into science fiction,
but the planetary and physical science of "what if" is what you see on Discovery and Science channels every day.
Superb!

Historia
Kevin Mitnick was the most elusive computer break-in artist in history. He accessed computers and networks at the world’s biggest companies—and however fast the authorities were, Mitnick was faster, sprinting through phone switches, computer systems, and cellular networks. He spent years skipping through cyberspace, always three steps ahead and labeled unstoppable.

Revisado: 09-12-12
OK - the story is fascinating. How easy it actually was.
Social Engineering - I've done it a lot, but not anywhere near this guy's level!
My problem is that he still thinks he's innocent.
He really is disconnected from reality in that sense.
What he did was wrong. Just flat out wrong.
He needed therapy! Whacko!
However, it is interesting to note that there wasn't mis-use of information, and that it
an understood truth. But really, man?
Law or not, the moral and ethical "sense" just wasn't there for this guy.
I think that alone makes this an interesting book.
History, insight, mixed with a typical maniac who couldn't control himself,
was a bit out of touch with reality.
This guy was one step away from serial killer, except he directed it into hacking.
I like the story a LOT!

Historia
At first, the case of the bodies found in a Moscow park looked straightforward: a "troika", probably three on a bottle, drunk together and then frozen to death together in the brutal Russian night. But Chief Homicide Investigator Arkady Renko hits a sharp and complicated turn with the arrival of the KGB's Pribluda. Suddenly, his access to a routine investigation is blocked. Why?

Wow - this is slow. But . .
Revisado: 09-12-12
I was about to fall asleep in the completely unnecessary details in between actual story. The core story isn't so bad. But it just falls together in some convenient way. How the detective just magically is able to speak with these people.
It is just barely worth listening to, but get the abridged version.
The narrator isn't too boring, but it is hard to tell between the characters at times.

North Korea is isolated and hungry, bankrupt and belligerent. It is also armed with nuclear weapons. Between 150,000 and 200,000 people are being held in its political prison camps, which have existed twice as long as Stalin’s Soviet gulags and twelve times as long as the Nazi concentration camps. Very few born and raised in these camps have escaped - but Shin Dong-hyuk did.
