slow a bit predictable
Revisado: 11-19-22
I liked the setting and characters. but the story was slow to unfold. and the plot was a little predictable. but the change in perspective of the main character was nicely developed.

I am a therapist, and I can attest to the fact that this is pretty accurate for how I work with my clients.

good description of the south
Revisado: 10-21-21
good description of the south, although the story was a bit predictable. I liked the main character, and her grit, and her vulnerability. wasn't realistic enough about the lasting effects of trauma tho.

loved it beyond measure. I'm from the south and this just spoke so clearly to the complicated relationship between blacks and whites.
