Historia
Leo Stone is a ruthless killer or the victim of a miscarriage of justice. A year ago, he was convicted of the murder of two women and sentenced to life in prison. But now he's free, and according to him, he's innocent. DS Maeve Kerrigan and DI Josh Derwent are determined to put Stone back behind bars where he belongs, but the more Maeve finds out, the less convinced she is of his guilt. Then another woman disappears in similar circumstances. Is there a copycat killer, or have they been wrong about Stone from the start?

Horrible Narration
Revisado: 08-22-23
I needed more tone, energy, feeling & character into the performance. It felt like a person reading the words off a page... I truly hope they find someone else to narrate future books. It ruined the experience.

Historia
Borderline Personality Disorder. "What the hell was that?" raged Rachel Reiland when she read the diagnosis written in her medical chart. As the 29-year old accountant, wife, and mother of young children would soon discover, it was the diagnosis that finally explained her explosive anger, manipulative behaviors, and self-destructive episodes- including bouts of anorexia, substance abuse, and sexual promiscuity.

Thank You

My mental health issues are very different than what was portrayed in this book. I was still able to relate and enjoy the ride that this author took me on.
That said, ANY ONE & EVERY ONE should read this book. You don't have to be curious about mental health issues to absolutely be sucked in to this story of hope, strength and love.

Historia
Wendy K. Williamson shows the effects of bipolar disorder on the mind, body and soul of those who suffer from it. Despite Wendy's struggles, this is a not a book that brings the listener down, rather a road map for wellness and a vastly informative, yet entertaining, guided tour of bipolar disorder for those who don't understand it. With her perceptive self-awareness, the author is equal parts comedienne and educator, and she tells the unbelievable highs and lows of her story with a clear, grounded candor.

Difficult to finish
Revisado: 12-29-19
At first I thought it was the narrator that was the problem, she has a sweet monochromatic voice.
The real issue for me was the author is judgmental and entitled, as the book goes on it just gets worse. For example, if you are "making a career" of getting well... Definitely STAY AWAY!

The romance story was good, but the action & mystery was disappointing. It seemed like an afterthought and felt rushed.

Fair over all, but ended with a lot of questions. I tend to like my stories wrapped up in tidy little bows.

The context of the affirmations were good. I had to give it only 2 stars because I found the voice of the narration to be impossible to listen to for any length of time. This audio book is not something I can relax to. Disappointed.
