Historia
In the fall of 1876, two Swiss spies came to America and conducted some of the most covert and consequential industrial espionage in history, changing the course of the global watch industry forever. Had the events of 1876 never happened, we would likely know little of Swiss watches today.

Twisted Admiration
Revisado: 03-30-23
The author continuously and apparently unapologetically by the writing admires what and how Swiss companies stole intellectual property and to some degree contributed to the downfall of a great American competitor company. It was difficult to listen to this continuous admiration for the actions taken by the Swiss.

Historia
The death of General George S. Patton is shrouded in mystery. While officially the result of an unfortunate car accident, the evidence points to a far more malevolent plot: murder. So says investigative and military journalist Robert K. Wilcox in his book Target: Patton: The Plot to Assassinate General George S. Patton. Written like a WWII spy thriller and meticulously researched, Target: Patton leads you through that fateful December day in 1945, revealing a chilling plan to assassinate General Patton.

Poor quality and repeat material.
Revisado: 12-01-14
What disappointed you about Target: Patton?
Very little new material. There are audio breaks that sound like editing cuts. There are rambling sections that leave you wondering what this has to do with the subject matter of the book.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Nothing from this author or narrator.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment

Excellent book and very well narrated.
Revisado: 12-16-10
I have read this book twice and listened to it twice as well. This is very well written. Shirer‘s viewpoint is from someone who actually lived in Berlin and other parts of Europe and experienced some of the beauty and terror of Germany. While this is an exceptionally long book, if you are really interested in the subject you obtain significant details. It is well written and narrated.
Shirer’s book Berlin Diaries is also excellent.

Historia
As President Clinton's senior adviser, George Stephanopoulos saw it all: the endless arguments, the back-hall scheming, the protracted decisions, and the last minute flip-flops that somehow produced real accomplishments but also set in motion an almost tragic series of events that placed the fate of the president in the hands of the Senate. Now, with the natural ease of a born storyteller and the sensitive eye for detail of a novelist, Stephanopoulos tells his extraordinarily gripping story.

An Excellent Perspective
Revisado: 11-25-06
Taken from Stephanopoulos' perspective this is an excellent listen. I originally purchased this on cassette when it first came out and listened to it several times. While some of the issues that where important to us at that time seem trivial in the post 9/11 world, the insight brought to these events from his position in the Clinton group is extremely interesting. The fact that George is reading it makes it even better. There are a lot of positions expressed about the many personalities involved as well as the good things accomplished, the mistakes, and the opportunities squandered.
