I learned so much about how the passing game we know today came to be. Very well written and interesting especially for the football fan.

If you love restaurants and food you will love this book. You can almost taste the amazing food they prepare at the Blue Bistro. I also loved all
the characters. I highly recommend this Nantucket tale!

I really loved Hotel Nantucket so gave this one a try. It was pretty good but nothing special. It could use further character development and the ending was underwhelming.

While I was so excited to read another sports book by John Grisham, this one left me a bit wanting. The story of Samuel and his family was both amazing and sad with an emphasis on sad. While I appreciate JG's attempt to cover a very important and sad topic of recreational drugs, I don't think it fit Sooley's character and flat out to me just wouldn't have happened. His agent's handler would never allowed him to get out of his sight (pre-contract signing) especially when he's the one who took him to the Bahamas in the first place. I believe he should have focused more on Sooley's attempt to get his family out of the South Sudan vs. the tragic story of senseless experimentation with drugs and alcohol. With that being said, I really liked the story about the team and their amazing effort during March Madness. I loved the coaches in the book and their care for the young men in their charge. College coaches today should listen to this book and follow Lonnie and Echo's lead. Finally, the ending left me wanting more. Very little about what Samuel's family was going to do next. I thought JG could have expanded on that a bit as well. In conclusion, the stories about South Sudan are very real and the plight of the refugees is heartbreaking. This book grabs your heart from the first chapter. Starla Huchton does a phenomenal job as the narrator. The story is well done with great character building. I can't wait to listen to book 2.

Where does Hellbent rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top 10. Orphan X is a great character. I have listened to all of Gregg's books and they are all great. The Orphan X series is my favorite. This one ranks right up there with his previous Orphan X books. Very suspenseful. A great story! You know a book is great when you're sad your commute is over because you have to stop listening to the book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Orphan X is my favorite character. He is tough but also has a softer side. He looks out for people who have no one else.

Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to over 20 books by Scott Brick. He is my favorite narrator. I purchase books because he is the reader. This is in the top 5. The suspense that he can create through his voice is second to none.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Hell Bent is great

Any additional comments?

This book and the previous Orphan X books should be made into a feature length movie.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Last Tribe to be better than the print version?

Scott Brick is an amazing voice talent and he really brings this compelling book to life.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Last Tribe?

When Greg finds Rebecca on his walk to New Hampshire and finds out she is really smart and only 13 years old.

Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to many of Scott Brick's other performances. He is a master and this one ranks right up there.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I would have loved to. This was a very compelling story. Couldn't wait to get back in my car and listen.

Any additional comments?

Great Story by Brad Manuel. Great performance by Scott Brick

Would you listen to Sycamore Row again? Why?

I would definitely listen to Sycamore Row again. Great story. Really liked learning about the history of Mississippi. The return of Jake Brigance as the main character was a great surprise.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

In typical John Grisham fashion, he grabs you right from the beginning and takes you through the history of the struggle for equal rights in rural Mississippi. The characters are well developed and the courtroom drama had just the right amount of twists and turns.

What about Michael Beck’s performance did you like?

His ability to do so many voices, both male and female.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Righting a 100 year old wrong is never easy
