I love classic English and French lit, and this book may be my favorite of them all. I love how Hugo brings his characters from evil to good, and he describes human characters and the political scene of France in such a lively and engaging manner. Fantastic narration!!

If you could sum up The Graveyard Book in three words, what would they be?
Neil Gaiman ruins all other audible books for me --- his reading is so perfect and keeps you so involved in the story (and of course the stories themselves are fantastic!), that all other books seem pale by comparison. Even the books that aren't read by the author (such as American Gods), are still some the best listens I have ever listened!!
As a verbal storyteller, Neil Gaiman's voice is rich with variations and imitations, with pauses, gentle stirrings of the voice, low murmers contrasted against vibrant, resonant proclamations... A real joy, thank you very much!
What other book might you compare The Graveyard Book to and why?
American Gods is another eerie story that brings the surreal right up to the edge of believability. .
