Historia
Shy and stammering Meg Burton-Smythe has spent the whole of her life living on the fringes of local society. She’s more comfortable with her daydreams than she is with people. But when a dashing, golden-haired hero rides to her rescue one morning, she dares to hope that her dreams might finally come true. There’s only one problem: her handsome rescuer is the son of her father’s sworn enemy.

Underdeveloped story
Revisado: 10-14-24
I was really disappointed with this book. Usually Mimi Matthews delivers but not this time. How does a couple fall in love when they don’t spend very much time really getting to know each other. I also don’t understand how the grouchy father of Meg who was NEVER kind to her suddenly show that he cares. The book ends too quickly never really get the whole story! It was a very quick, underdeveloped story!!!!It was a waste of a credit.

Resolute really satisfies?
Revisado: 08-16-24
Marylu tyndalls books alway satisfy! The resolute had a good strong storyline with some great characters u love and hate but not really hate because Marylu teaches wonderfully of our Savior. It’s not preachy but the characters learned what God tries to teach them while at the same time being action packed and swash buckling. The only major downfall was the narrator whose voice modulation was slow and like a roller coaster. She sometimes ended certain words with a th sounds, which sounded strange and IRRITATING!! Besides that, the book was good enough to tolerate the narrator. At least the book is not whisper synced.

Engrossing story!!!!
Revisado: 10-23-22
I enjoyed the seemly historical war re-enactments of this lady death sniper. The drama created around her life kept me enthralled.
I didn’t care for the occasional F-words, which probably are part of war. The 2 bedroom scenes were unnecessary. The narrator was superb!! I would recommend this book highly!

Twists I didn’t see coming and very enjoyable!
Revisado: 03-14-22
I really enjoyed this audible book. The narrator was spot on! I’m now a devoted fan of this author and will be looking for her new books. There is a bite to her story with a moral compass and sweet romance. I wasn’t expecting the story line and where it turned which I loved. I would totally recommend this book.

Historia
Since the death of her mother, Abigail Blakeslee has lost any desire to become a debutante and enter Society. But now, foregoing her first Season has brought an unwanted invitation to join her aunt and cousins for a summer at Timpton House, the large estate of the Stanton family. Reluctantly accepting, Abigail is thrust into the vexing world of social propriety and matchmaking she had hoped to avoid. More vexing still is her cousin’s suitor, the young Timpton heir - Edwin Stanton. Moody and distant at times, remarkably endearing at others, Edwin seems a puzzle she can never solve.

Very enjoyable book
Revisado: 12-21-21
I very much enjoyed this book. Funny in places!!!! Even though it was a bit predictable, I still listened in a day and a half. I probably would have listened to the book at one time but life gets in the way. The narrator was a little too passive but I enjoyed the story enough to tolerate her. Thumbs up for sure and I will be looking for more books by this author.
