Almost As Much Beach as Affirmation

The affirmations I find, are good, and the beach sounds in between, fine. It's just that in the longer versions- slightly over an hour- are almost 30 mins of beach with no affirmations. There's nothing wrong with this...if you're a beach fan.

Very disappointed. This title is more talking about visualization than actual visualization. The "hypnosis" part is 10 minutes and not at all easy to listen to (in my opinion), the rest is talking about visualization. Not at all what I wanted or was expecting.

Repetitive and Redundant

I struggle to continue listening. While there is clearly great information in here, it's compiled in a way(?) that feels very very repetitive and a bit like eating sawdust followed by a sawdust chaser. So many other great titles out there that relay this same information but with more imagination or at least compiled in a way that allows the reader to take it in.

There is indeed information in this book to be found...as long as you have nothing else to Get Done !
The meat is scattered throughout and you zone out through most of his talking about how long he's been a coach and teacher...blah blah blah...the book could've been 3 chapters and delivered the info in 10...with bullet points.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY !!

This is the only book I've ever deleted from my iPhone and after only the first download part !
Let me spread the blame a bit here...I also found the narrator terrible- especially at the male voices...she sounded cartoonish with almost every male voice. She may be great in another type of story but here I found her just the wrong choice.
As for the story itself....I found that the author didn't take the time to get us at all interested in the characters and the story feels like a bad soap opera...complete with lot's and lot's of OH (or "MY") GOD'S" usually followed by some crying.
No wonder she writes under a pseudonym.
Like I said - deleted after first part and even that was downright painful......

A must read

This book is a must read for any dog owner/lover. However, I don't think the lack of dog ownership would reduce the enjoyment of this book. Simply put...this is a beautiful recounting of one man's life (the main character) mainly through the eyes of his dog, the bond between those two and the other people that come and go throughout the main character's life and the integrity that he chooses throughout his life. Not always a "happy story"....but life as it truly is....and yet a happy ending.

This was a great listen...very funny...but one word of caution....due to unexpected fits of laughter - DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS WHILE LIFTING WEIGHTS !
I almost lost it laughing in the middle of a set.......coming close to squishing my face.
Fey paints a very approachable persona - a normal girl who had a couple of lucky breaks but mostly got where she is through determination and perseverance...talent too of course !

interesting but reader changing distracting !

The book starts off read by Johnny Depp...a great start then abruptly changes to the gravelly voice of Joe Hurley - who does a great job no doubt except his "Keith" voice ( with accent ) is even a bit too slow for Richards himself and me - more importantly the change leaves you trying to adjust and thereby taking away form the story for the next 30 minutes.
Then at the end comes Depp again....this transition feels somewhat smoother as Depp's voice isn't so hard to adjust to.
I still enjoyed the read...fascinating to hear but I would most definitely have stuck with one reader !
