Awesome!!
Revisado: 08-21-19
This is an all American story, an exceptional one no doubt, but the characters are all American. It is not a part of America that I am familiar with, which made it all the more fascinating. The characters are admirable, earnest and hard working. I love it that Michelle Obama narrates this history herself. Out of over 100 audible books I have this one is among the very best.

Historia
When ancient people first sought to explain the mysteries of their own lives, they looked to the heavens. There, they saw a perfect reflection linking them directly with an omniscient universe. The study of the stars and the study of the psyche comprised a single science - astrology - that led C. G. Jung to describe astrology as "the first form of psychology". Visionary Activist Astrology escorts you through the mists of time to our own century, when science has verified what ancient people knew instinctively.

I really enjoyed this book. I have listened to it a number of times now and it is so full of stories and info I'm sure I will listen to it many more times. The author is clearly passionate about the topic and is a wonderful story teller. For anyone interested in archetypes or astrology I would highly recommend.

Historia
This audiobook uncovers the biggest scientific fraud of our age. It tells the fascinating and frequently astounding story of how the massive enterprise to restructure the genetic core of the world's food supply came into being, how it advanced by consistently violating the protocols of science, and how for more than three decades, hundreds of eminent biologists and esteemed institutions have systematically contorted the truth in order to conceal the unique risks of its products - and get them onto our dinner plates.

This is a great book!!
Revisado: 09-04-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I have always wondered why there is so much ignorance on the topic of GMO foods. This book explains why.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Altered Genes, Twisted Truth?
The fact that 9 of the FDAs own scientists have questioned whether GMOs are safe based on science and that not one American media outlet would report this fact.
Which scene was your favorite?
This book is so full of facts on the history of how GMOs have become accepted in this country. It reads like a a conspiracy novel, because it is a conspiracy.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes it made me cry to hear the story of how our regulatory agencies fail in their duties to protect the people and the envirinment.

This book is a gem!!!
Revisado: 01-24-13
What did you love best about Les Misérables: Translated by Julie Rose?
This is about the best I can imagine audible has to offer. The story is great. The reading was wonderful. I've read reviews about the translation not being so great well all I can say is it shines through for me wonderfully!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Les Misérables: Translated by Julie Rose?
There are so many memorable moments it is impossible to pick just one.
What about George Guidall’s performance did you like?
I started another book and went back to listen to this a second time. Part of that is because I miss the voice. He has a wonderful storytellers voice. I also liked how he did the characters.
Any additional comments?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is hard to believe that a book so long can continue to keep me so engaged but it did right up to the end.

I enjoyed this
Revisado: 11-12-12
What made the experience of listening to Worm the most enjoyable?
This is an interesting story about a world I know little about. I like the way the author weaved some information in as to how things work in the computer world, as I like to understand how things work. It is an engaging story, a mystery. Well written and well narrated.

Revisado: 11-12-12
What made the experience of listening to The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich the most enjoyable?
This is well written, and fascinating history. The narrator was also excellent. Who'd have thought that after 57 hours I would not want it to end. I found myself asking "what happened next?"
