One of the best books I read all year!
Revisado: 12-14-24
A cozy Christmas mystery!!! What more could you ask for! I loved every minute of this book. The enemies to lovers. The witty banter. The flirting. The confidence the main character built as the book went on was uplifting! My only complaint is I wish it was longer!

ADORABLE
Revisado: 07-07-24
Katherine Center is THE BEST rom com author and is proudly brining back the amazing art that is the rom com. I absolutely loved this book (as I do all her books)! It was laugh out loud funny and then adorably sticky sweet. The Perfect combo! I can’t wait for her next one! Also, this book should be a movie for sure! 🥰

Hilarious!
Revisado: 06-16-24
I loved this book even more than the first Guncle! It had me laughing out loud over and over again! I loved all the references to old movies. The Austria/Sound of Music bit had me smiling from ear to ear and cracking me up. The storyline was amazing and creative. The relationships were so developed and poignant. I especially loved Patrick’s introspection.

Best Serle book yet!
Revisado: 03-25-24
I thought this book was perfect. The flashbacks were interesting and not confusing, the relationship were insightful and really allowed the reader to understand the main character and the life she has lived, and the surprises or plot twists were so unexpected and spot on! Honestly, my favorite Serle book yet!

Amazing! Incredible! Tied with Nightingale!
Revisado: 03-07-24
All Hannah’s books are always so informative and this book was so different! I never learned much about Vietnam growing up or even in adulthood so this was so educational for me! I love that from her books.
This book continued to keep me engaged and wondering what was going to happen next. Just when u thought I predicted something, something would blow my mind, again and again!
The Women allows you to feel every emotion possible throughout the entire book! I absolutely loved it and it is now tied with The Nightingale for my favorite book of all time!
I can’t forget the brilliance and exceptional talent of Julia Whelan! The Women would not have been the same with any other narrator! Perfection!

Historia
When Iris decides to move to New York to restart her life, she realizes she underestimated how big the Big Apple really is—all the nostalgic movies set in New York she’d watched with her mom while eating their special secret-recipe gelato didn’t quite do it justice. But Bobby, Iris’s best friend, isn’t about to let her hide away. He drags her to a famous autumn street fair in Little Italy, and as they walk through the food stalls, a little family-run gelateria catches her eye—could it be the same shop that’s in an old photo of her mother’s?

A fun Cozy Mystery but needs better narration
Revisado: 12-04-23
This was a cute and cozy follow up for book 2. Not as great as the first but still thoroughly enjoyed it! However, this is clearly based in the UK so I don’t understand why they don’t have a British narrator for Molly. Some characters have British accents that go in and out and then several have no accent at all or a New York type accent. It’s very confusing and I would like SOME continuity with accents. I do like how the narrator does Molly’s tone and she portrays Molly’s character well through her voice.

Sasha has had it. She cannot bring herself to respond to another inane, “urgent” email or participate in the corporate employee joyfulness program. She hasn’t seen her friends in months. Sex? Seems like a lot of effort. Even cooking dinner takes far too much planning. Sasha has hit a wall. Armed with good intentions to drink kale smoothies, try yoga, and find peace, she heads to the seaside resort she loved as a child. But it’s the off season, the hotel is in a dilapidated shambles, and she has to share the beach with the only other occupant: a grumpy guy named Finn.

Another great from Liv Constantine!
Revisado: 06-06-23
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It kept me guessing until the very end! I wanted to hurry through the book to find out the ending but didn’t because at the same time, I didn’t want it to end! My only criticism is that they should have given a nod to occupational therapy for all the adaptive equipment Sloane used post hip surgery. But I appreciated the use of the correct equipment! :)

Such smart writing!
Revisado: 05-23-23
I thought this book had such intelligent writing. The way she has flashbacks and reveals the characters beginning that leads up to the present was amazing. It was so different and I thoroughly enjoyed that take! We already know the main characters had broken up so seeing how they got there was so interesting. I always look forward to Henry’s summer releases and this one totally met my expectations!
