Historia
Seventeen-year-old Elizabeth Bennet always hoped to marry for love. That is, until she surrenders to her mother’s demands and marries the handsome Duke of Leeds. Thrust into a society disinclined to accept the "country nobody" who entrapped one of their most sought-after bachelors, her marriage of convenience is nothing like she expected.

Loved This Completely New Story
Revisado: 07-21-20
Some people hate variations that differ so far from the original P&P story. I on the other hand love them. First off, I loved seeing a slightly younger Darcy interact with his father. Even though I knew George was going to die, it still hurt. Thankfully Elizabeth was there for Darcy. Elizabeth's first husband manipulates and deceives her so I was not sad at all when he died. Elizabeth and Darcy have an affair while she is married and conceive a child named Alexander. He is the sweetest baby. Elizabeth breastfeeding him was adorable and Darcy is a wonderful father. Jane and Bingley aren't a couple in this book but she does get a happy ending with Darcy's cousin. Not Colonel Fitzwilliam because he is a jerk in this variation. The narration by Stevie Zimmerman is amazing as always. Also the epilogue made me cry.

Historia
Well-read, observant, and spirited, a young Elizabeth Bennet draws the attention of a wealthy widower. When she finally meets Mr. Darcy, she outranks him. Of course, that doesn't stop him from insulting her. Married and wealthy, is she still beneath his notice? Elizabeth's high society connections create new opportunities for her sisters and, in turn, keep Darcy close to her family. When tragedy strikes, will Darcy rise to the occasion?

Loved Both Men
Revisado: 07-17-20
I was unsure about this book because it had another love interest besides Darcy. Glad to say I loved Elizabeth and Robert's relationship just as much as her and Darcys. He was the perfect first husband for a young naive girl. Because of him she became the strong independent woman Darcy falls in love with. I enjoyed watching Elizabeth and Darcys relationship change over the years. Also it was so sweet to see how they both interacted with Elizabeth's children. There is a scene with Darcy, Elizabeth's son Robby, and a frog that is hilarious. Also Stevie Zimmerman is amazing as always.

Is not the very meaning of love that it surpasses every objection against it? Jilted. Never did Mr. Darcy imagine it could happen to him. But it has, and by Elizabeth Bennet, the woman who first hated and rejected him but then came to love him - he believed - and agree to be his wife. Alas, it is a short-lived, ill-fated romance that ends nearly as soon as it has begun. No reason is given. More than a year since he last saw her - a year of anger, confusion, and despair - he receives an invitation from the Bingleys to a house party at Netherfield.

Loved it!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Revisado: 07-06-20
Pride and Prejudice is my favorite book and Ive purchased alot of P&P variations. This is one of my favorites. If you read the original you know that Colonel Fitzwilliam is a side character we dont really get to explore. In alot of variations he is Darcys closest friend who is usually there for comic relief. He's attracted to Elizabeth but he needs to marry well so he easily steps aside for Darcy. I loved seeing him as someone who's jealously and resentfulness builds up over time. Even though I already guessed the twist at the end it was still enjoyable. The narration was wonderful but the epilogue was kinda weird and not needed.

Enjoyed it but have a few complaints
Revisado: 07-03-20
First off, I was very deceived from the description of this book and the auto sample. I thought due to reduced circumstances Elizabeth would agree to be Darcys mistress. I wanted to see them both put their pride aside and admit their attraction/love. Alas I was wrong neither one even thought that was a possibility. Marriage or nothing for both. I enjoyed the introduction of new characters but I did miss Mr. Bennet. I never knew how much I loved his character until he was absent. Narrator was amazing btw.

Historia
Pemberley’s ancient halls harbour many secrets. Which one will affect Fitzwilliam Darcy and the love of his life? How is Mr. Bennet to enjoy the comforts of a well-stocked library, when his wife’s premature demise had left him with the task of finding suitable matches for their daughters? And what of a misleading encounter on a muddy lane in Hertfordshire, that renders a country-town assembly rather more tolerable than some might have thought?

Great Story! Spoilers Below
Revisado: 06-17-20
First off, the ghost are mainly in the beginning and end of the story and not the only storyline. The main plot is that in this variation Mrs. Bennet is dead and Mr. Bennet is left to take care of his girls. She has been dead for many years. Therefore, he is more of an attentive and caring father. He's also one of the funniest characters in the book. Mr. Darcy visits Hertfordshire and falls for Elizabeth right away. She also falls for him. Because of his duty and her connections he knows he can't marry her. So he convinces Bingley Jane doesn't care for him and they both leave Netherfield. It is very hard for Mr. Darcy to stay away from Elizabeth but he does. Until he finds out Mr. Bennett has married his Aunt Lady Catherine. Everyone ends up going to Rosings Park and living together. Most of the story takes place there. Darcy is very much in love at this point and wants to court Elizabeth. She on the other hand is mad he left her and resents him for not wanting to marry her before her social status went up. She pushings him away but he won't take no for an answer. No matter what she says she still cares and is very attracted to him. This leads to many stolen kisses and an awful proposal. Anne is featured quite a bit in this book because she is now Elizabeth's sister by marriage. Ive read many P&P variations and this is the only one where I like her character. She has a love interest that isn't Darcy which is pretty cute. She ends up getting poisoned causing her to become very sick. Everyone has to come together to figure out who did it. This leads Darcy and Elizabeth to become even closer. Some criticisms are I wish it had more Bingley and Jane. They get back together right as he reappears and we don't even get to hear his proposal. Also no one ever finds out Darcy was the one the separated them and its completely forgotten about. Overall I really enjoyed it. Narrator was Amazing!

The narrator at times can be irritating for example her Mr.Darcy voice. But for other characters like Colonel Fitzwilliam she was great. It is was a fun and entertaining story that made me laugh out loud.

All is fair in love and war - or is it? What if Mr. Darcy's rival for Elizabeth Bennet's hand and heart is not some inconsequential stranger, but his dearest, closest friend? How is he to reconcile the claims of loyalty and kinship with the urge to pursue his heart's desire?

Loved this book
Revisado: 06-02-20
I always wanted a love triangle story between these three. Got what I wanted and more. Many P&P variations hint at Colonel Fitzwilliams feelings for Elizabeth but nothing ever happeneds between them because he needs to marry well. Alot of the book is through a heartbroken Mr.Darcys POV. If your looking for a Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam love story this is not it. You see most of their relationship through Darcy. Even though I felt bad for Fitzwilliam. Darcy is just too passionate and so sweet throughout the book so of course she falls in love with him

There's only one fact that notorious rake Lord Charles Carlisle and his cousin, Fitzwilliam Darcy, can agree upon: a house party given by the Marquess of Bentham is bound to be intolerably dull. To relieve his boredom, Lord Charles accepts a bet that he can seduce his sister's pretty friend during their stay at Bentham Park. After all, it's easy money for an experienced seducer. Why should he care if his staid cousin Darcy disapproves?

New Story Same Elizabeth and Mr.Darcy
Revisado: 05-20-20
As a huge P&P fan I loved this book! If you are looking for a book that follows the original story with slight variations this is not it. New characters and completely new storyline. Also at times a very jealous Mr. Darcy. Twist and turns (and secret makeouts) lead to a happy ending.
