Loved It!

Story had great moments and better characters. The pacing was perfect and I really enjoyed it. Blown away by the quality of the voice actor’s performance, especially Autumn. Amazing effort by all!

Disappointing

Too much focus on friends and side characters which should have been left home. Instead the mc constantly needs to gear up, train, and carry them through the story.

Great series

Really enjoyed both books in this series. Characters are varied snd interesting. Main character is smart and I am excited to see his powers grow. The pacing is especially well done, never a dull moment. Narrator is fantastic. Can’t wait till the next one!

Lost me

Great series at first, but the sheer amount of unnecessary pov shifts just drags the story on forever and adds too much confusion. The mc never seems to overcome being bullied despite any growth. The final straw was when love interests started sleeping around.

Love this series

I really enjoyed this book. Never a dull moment, I look forward to Alex and Fae riding to meet all challenges before them. The narration team is superb and I’m grateful to them, turning a great story into an amazing piece of entertainment. Well done!

Both the story and narrator’s performance are immensely enjoyable. Every book gets a bit better and I’m excited to see where the story takes us. The small vignettes at the end are great fun as well.

Not For Me

Setting was somewhat interesting. But several things prevented me from enjoying this book. It’s setup as a rags to riches story with an open portal between worlds. Of all the opportunities of a new world before him, the mc wants to… take things from fantasy land and sell back home. Zzzzzz. All moments back on Earth are pretty boring and spent dealing with the slutty, annoying sister or the manipulative ex-professor. The MC is mostly passive and stiff, Maybe this changed later in the book, but I never got there because of the inclusion of cringey bdsm behavior with the first love interest. I didn’t care to read about a slave collector. The vocal performances were decent.

Thoroughly Entertaining

I really didn’t want this story to end! I really enjoyed the story and the characters. The pacing was nice and kept the plot moving. The narration team absolutely killed it, from the mc’s accent to AI’s slight reverb effects, I enjoyed all the voice work. Top notch production from top to bottom and I’m very hopeful to see the next book soon!

Couldn’t finish this one

Performance was top notch, but I found the story too predictable and somewhat cartoonish. MC is dense, AI overly snarky, cringey escape artist villain, etc. The mc’s dog is hands down best part of the book. Pure gold there.

So Impressed!!

Wow! I had read the previous two God of Magic novels and thought they were great. But I thought I’d give the audio version a try for the third.. and I’m totally blown away by the quality of the performance. The work by Daniel and Rebecca really augments the fantastic third tale in the series and I will absolutely be purchasing the rest of them in audio. Well done!!
