I believe this may be a mix up on the publishers side since there is another book in the series that is supposed to be about canning, and the audio sample provided on the book's page does not match anything contained in the actual book that gets downloaded.

I really liked the first two books in this series but this one was very hard to listen to. I have never listened to book that overused similes to the level this one does. Very distracting.

Good story and concept

How could the performance have been better?
This is a pretty good book. The overall story and concept behind the plot are put together very well. I wish, though, that I had read some of the reviews before I purchased this. There is no kind way of putting it; the narrator for this story was terrible. I have purchased and listened to well over 100 books from audible with narrators of varying degree of quality. In all of those I had never run into a narrator who as distracting to the story as this one. The pauses in speech and odd word emphasis make this a hard listen.
