Historia
Miss Gertrude Cadwalader hoped her position as the paid companion to Mrs. Davenport would be easy. But as she becomes acquainted with her employer, she realizes the wealthy Mrs. Davenport has a strange tendency to be a bit light-fingered with other people's trinkets. When Gertrude is caught in the act of trying to return one of the trinkets by Mrs. Sinclair, the mother of shipping magnate Harrison Sinclair, the woman jumps to an unfortunate conclusion.

Thoroughly surprise!!!!!
Revisado: 01-31-19
I must admit that I was not a fan of the 1st book of the series but I was thoroughly surprised and enjoyed the 2nd book. The narrator as always was very enjoyable and this book was much more funnier.

Historia
Feya Broon, a Scottish half Gypsy, knows what it is to go hungry. Trapped in the Edinburgh tenements with a father lost to his past and only the faded memory of her mother's faith, Feya is desperate to provide for her siblings. When an ill-conceived plan leads to thievery, she finds herself in the last place she'd ever want to be - captured by a palace guard. But there's something about this man that tears at every preconceived notion she's ever had about the haughty English.

Within the Veil...could have been better
Revisado: 10-20-17
First, I must say that Joanna Stephens magnificent performance brought this book to life for me. I literally saw myself where the characters were scene by scene. I would highly recommend her to be a voiceover for other books.
Review of the book:
I was able to receive a free audible pass to listen to the audiobook by the author which I am grateful to her. Brandy is a talented writer and I can tell she did her homework for the historical facts very well. But sadly, I must admit this book was a bit boring until chapter 4 where both characters finally interact. I read other reviews after I listened to the book and I agree that the characters fell in love too quickly for me. The villains in the book are sinister and I love that they have a backstory to them. I had to wait until the epilogue to find out what Alasdair's condition was but I loved why the author included this in her book...no spoilers here....you have to read or listen to the book to find out. Honestly, I hope there is a sequel to this book and a job well done to the writer.
The cover is beautiful and I loved finally reading a gyspy Christian book.
God bless!!!
