Historia
Raised in the historic southern splendor of Natchez, Mississippi, Penn Cage learned all he knows of honor and duty from his father, Dr. Tom Cage. But now the beloved family doctor has been accused of murdering Viola Turner, the African-American nurse with whom he worked in the dark days of the 1960s. Penn is determined to save his father, but Tom, stubbornly invoking doctor-patient privilege, refuses to even speak in his own defense.

Unworthy of the author's prior works
Revisado: 01-22-22
I have listened to 9 hours of this novel and will be returning it. This is just nasty and voyeuristic. I am 77 years old and can nowhere be considered a prude, but this crosses the bounds of good taste for me.

Through no fault of the author, I tried three times to start over with this book and just could not get involved with it. Returning.

Historia
The CIA's deepest secrets are being given away for a larger agenda that will undermine the entire Western intelligence community. Director of National Intelligence Mary Pat Foley wants it stopped but doesn't know who, how, or why. Jack Ryan, Jr., is dispatched to Poland on a different mission. The clues are thin, and the sketchy trail dead ends in a harrowing fight from which he barely escapes with his life. If that's not bad enough, Jack gets more tragic news. An old friend, who's dying from cancer, has one final request for Jack.

Disappointing
Revisado: 06-17-19
Pre-ordered this book and anxiously awaited its release. Scott Brick gives his usual exquisite reading; however, he was not able to assist this mish-mosh of multiple stories which were not well combined. Not at all up to the standards we have all come to rely on with Tom Clancy stories.

Far too much back and forth for me. Story would have been fine without the deadly dull descriptions of everything. I started over 4 times before giving up. Will be returning.

Silly
Revisado: 12-23-17
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Not sure who might like it, but it was a definite disappointment for me. Does not measure up to prior stories in this series.
Has Leviathan turned you off from other books in this genre?
No.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
Narration was fine, but could not overcome the storyline.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Leviathan?
This may be harsh, but as an editor I would not have submitted this for publication.
Any additional comments?
This is probably others' cup of tea, Just not for me. Too far out.

Historia
Carl Logan was the perfect agent. A loner with no real friends or family, he was trained to deal with any situation with cold efficiency, devoid of emotion. But Logan isn't the man he used to be or the asset he once was. Five months ago his life changed forever when he was captured, tortured and left for dead by Youssef Selim, one of the world's most violent terrorists. When Selim mysteriously reappears in Paris, linked to the kidnapping of America's attorney general, Logan smells his chance for revenge.

The two main characters need to get a life!
Revisado: 05-13-16
What disappointed you about Dance with the Enemy?
I don't watch television soap operas and like reading them even less.
Has Dance with the Enemy turned you off from other books in this genre?
Not the genre, but certainly will be cautious about this writer.
Did Paul Thornley do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
No. Main character and his female cohort were, to me, trite, self-absorbed and tiresome.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Boredom. Yuk.
Any additional comments?
The narrator did his best. Hope he is given better material in the future.
