The Ultimate Love Story
Revisado: 05-17-24
And the greatest of these is love!!!
Now this book took me all over the place emotionally and I found my self connecting and understanding every character and was often at odds with myself as to who was right and what was wrong. The character development is FLAWLESS and the plot twist were of expert revealing. But in the end and as always Gods love conquered all!!! Book 3 will hopefully tie up all loose ends.
This needed to be a movie!!

Historia
Rain soaks Tessa Scott as she runs from her car to the old vine-covered property she has been called to survey. She’s too busy to accept a new job, but doing this favor for the grandmother of her childhood sweetheart delays a painful decision she must make about her controlling boyfriend. When Tessa finds a tattered journal carefully hidden inside the house’s ancient fireplace, the tragic story of how Ona was ripped from her mother’s arms to live and work in the palatial Mount Vernon, and the heart-shattering betrayal that led her to risk her life and run, has Tessa spellbound.

Absolutely loved this book!
Revisado: 07-20-23
This was a wonderful historical fiction. The back and forth from the past to the present only added to the intrigue of the book! So many emotions and feelings and topics touched that made this book a top 10 for me.
And I learned interesting facts about my culture and history that I did not know!!
And the narrators were on point!

Overall great book!!!
Revisado: 04-16-23
The main character did annoy the mess out of me with her defiance and pride even up to the very end of the book.
Kind of glad that the ending wasn’t your typical one but would have loved some retribution for other characters.
Pride does come before the fall!!!

Great story, not so good narrator
Revisado: 09-13-21
I loved the book, the twist and plot. Kept me guessing till the end.
But the narrator was so flat, didn’t portray the action in scenes properly. Intense moments had a southern bell charm to them…DIDNT match.
Looking forward to the next book.
