Historia
For GBI investigator Will Trent and medical examiner Sara Linton, McAlpine Lodge seems like the ideal getaway to celebrate their honeymoon. Set on a gorgeous, off-the-grid mountaintop property, it’s the perfect place to unplug and reconnect. Until a bone-chilling scream cuts through the night. Mercy McAlpine, the manager of the Lodge, is dead. With a vicious storm raging and the one access road to the property washed out, the murderer must be someone on the mountain. But as Will and Sara investigate the McAlpine family and the other guests, they realize that everyone here is lying.

Another Home run!
Revisado: 10-12-24
What can I say? Karin Slaughter is the best. I always wait anxiously for the next Will Trent book. This one was every bit as mesmerizing as the others. This One is a little dark, even for the queen of darkness lol that said, I always feel like Will and Sara are part of my family. I can’t wait to see what they’re doing and what their next adventure will be Kathleen Early is fabulous is always. If you’re a fan of the series, you won’t be disappointed.

SO glad to have Myron back!
Revisado: 06-15-24
I was totally bummed out when Harlan Coben decided to stop writing Myron Bolitar books. I was thrilled when I saw this. And he did not disappoint! This book had me on the edge of my seat. It made me smile, laugh, cry. it was a bit of a different story and I was there for it every step of the way. If I could give this book 10, stars I would. Wow!

Try to stay awake
Revisado: 06-07-24
This book was terrible. Normally I love accent, but unfortunately, in this case it made the book even more boring than otherwise it would’ve been. I really hate it when I’m listening to a book every chance I get just because I want to finish it so badly so I can move onto a good book. This is my first and last book by this author I’m sorry I just have nothing good to say about it. The main character unlikable nothing about this story me wanting more. I took a chance and won’t be making that mistake again

There is nothing thrilling about this book
Revisado: 06-07-24
I am a huge fan of legal thrillers, so I was excited to listen to this new book. To say I was disappointed is a huge understatement. This book was as boring as they come. The narration was terrible and the story was simply uninteresting. I don’t know what else to say other than this is my first and last book by this author.

Fifteen hours of my life I'll never get back
Revisado: 05-21-24
It's difficult for me to even describe how much I hated this book. I'm not a huge fan of John Corey as a character. He's arrogant, obnoxious, corny, and inappropriate at the wrong times. I rarely find him witty or clever. I usually just find him insufferable. BUT normally the story allows me to tolerate him (through much eye rolling). This book was beyond awful. It was boring and nothing connected. We never did find a "motive" for these murders that were supposedly at the heart of this book. There was SO much repetition. I got so sick of hearing his thoughts about everything. And don't get me started on Scott Brick. He was even more annoying and over the top than he usually is. It felt like he had to punch out every word. Way too over-dramatic. And in the beginning it even felt like was talking faster than normal I had such a hard time getting through this book. Aren't we supposed to root for this guy? Well I wasn't. By the time any action started (as others have said not until the last 90 minutes) I was half rooting for the bad guys just to shut him up. This was even more disappointing because "Radiant Angel" was so good. I thought Nelson DeMille had finally turned a corner with this character and made him more likeable. But now I think that the reason the last book was so good was because there was so much less of John Corey. You actually got to see what the bad guys were doing. This book was filled with his every ridiculous thought and just...ugh. I doubt that I'll ever listen to another John Corey novel.

Harvath books keep getting better
Revisado: 04-15-24
I was on the fence about how much I liked the Scot Harvath series when I started. I found him to arrogant and kind of annoying. But these last few books have made me a fan. Armand Schultz is good with the HUGE exception of how he portrays Nicholas aka "The Troll". He makes the character sound almost female. I cringe each time he does the voice. But other than that, this book gets an A+ from me

Can’t wait to listen to the next one in this serie
Revisado: 01-23-24
I really enjoyed this book. I wasn’t crazy about the ending but everything else was great. It was intriguing, clever, and well written. George Guidall never disappoints. This is one of those books that you can’t wait to get into the car and listen to. I’ve listened to several books by Silva and I’ve enjoyed every one of them. Next please.

Narration really made this book almost unreadable
Revisado: 01-22-24
I really try to be careful before bashing a narrator, but the truth is that this woman was amazingly, ridiculously, almost comically bad without giving anything away, there was a scene in the very beginning of the book, where she was so cartoonish in her delivery that I almost put the book down. I stuck with it because it’s Harlan Coben and his books never disappoint. To be fair, when she did female voices, she was almost tolerable. But when she did male voices, it was like nails on a chalkboard. The book would’ve been so much better with the narrator. That said, the story was interesting and I enjoyed the ending. If you are a fan of Harlan Coben, I recommend this book.

I kept waiting for it to get better
Revisado: 10-10-23
I wish I could say I enjoyed this book, but I just didn’t. It seemed like it would get better. I waited and waited for it to get better. I agree with the reviewer who said the character of Emily was annoying and over the top. The fact that I made it through this book says that it had promise. I kept expecting some great ending that would make it all worth it, but it never came. This is my first book by this author and I don’t see myself trying another one. It didn’t help that I found the material pretty disturbing. We were never given a motive for why this man he did. I also felt like I didn’t understand whether he actually had feelings for Emily or whether she was just another conquest . I was glad to read some thing outside of my normal genre, but this wasn’t very enjoyable for me.
