Historia
Gen Z has the power to change the world. As the largest emerging demographic in American history, Gen Z is at the center of a cultural shift, one that will define the direction of our country for generations to come. Intellectually curious, culturally courageous, and unafraid to push societal boundaries, Gen Z is ready to embrace leadership as the most educated generation in history. These young and often underestimated Americans are here to fight for a better future—and we won’t wait for permission to lead.

Amazing person, amazing book!
Revisado: 04-01-24
Isabel Brown is my Gen Z political hero, even more so after listening to this book than before. Thank you for inspiring a new generation with the truth. Above all, to win the war for America and freedom around the world, we need more truth tellers, regardless of politics, parentage or religion. Wow. Read this book!!!

Historia
Loretta Pacheco has a cool job at an electric car company. Her life finally seems headed in the right direction. But in a flash, it all starts to fall apart. Actors are enjoyable to listen to, good story, but way too much strong language.
Revisado: 01-26-22
I like the back and forth chemistry of the main actors, the story is original, and overall well written, but I have a hard time recommending a book with so much strong language. It really doesn’t add anything and multiple times I almost just quit listening. Not everyone talks like this or appreciates being subjected to more than 100 F words, among others, in a few hour production. Otherwise well done!

Historia
Flatland, like our own world, is on the verge of the millenium. On the last day of the year 1999, a Square—hitherto undistinguished from the other shapes of his two-dimensional world—receives the Gospel of Three Dimensions, revealed to that world's flat inhabitants only once every a thousand years. Transformed by a truth he is unable to conceal, he is promptly condemned as a heretic.

A Very Christian Book
Revisado: 12-23-15
Another review calls this a masterpiece of science, and yet the author clearly intended it to be a parable of religion, not unlike C.S. Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia.
As a Mormon, this book reminds me a great deal of the experiences of the American prophet Joseph Smith, but could just as well relate to Paul the Apostle or to Moses.
A beautiful book that somehow ties all faith and the limits of science and perception together in a graceful knot or bow.

Basic Marketing for Artists
Revisado: 04-17-15
The first half of this book was useful and worth the cost of the audiobook.
The second was mostly about setting up permission email and websites, which one can learn anywhere.
Part of this book is about what the author does to market his art and what kind of software and hardware he uses to track this and that. I'd personally prefer to read a compilation or study of what several of the most successful and business creative artists do.
Compare Brainard Carey's excellent books and audiobooks for artists, including New Markets for Artists, available on Audible. I also enjoy the story of Olivia Bennett in Mark Victor Hansen's The Richest Kids in America.

The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster will prepare you for the wild ride of entrepreneurship. It will warn you (of forthcoming fears, doubts, and the self-defeating conditioning of your upbringing and past), inoculate you (from the naysayers, dream-stealers, and pains of rejection and failure), and guide you (as you build those under-developed skills of independence, self-motivation, and self-accountability) safely past the landmines that blow up and cause the failure of 66 percent of all new businesses.

Everyone cheats. Cuts corners. Tells lies. Maybe it was different once. Not anymore. If you want to succeed nowadays, you have to make compromises. Right? Wrong. You can succeed at the highest levels, without sacrificing the principles that make life worth living.
In Winners Never Cheat Huntsman tells you how he did it, and how you can, too. This audiobook is about remembering why you work, and why you were chosen to lead. It's about finding the bravery to act on what you know is right and building teams with the same courage. It's about winning. The right way.

Top Five Business Book for CEO's
Revisado: 12-31-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Winners Never Cheat to be better than the print version?
Strongly recommend both print and audio. This is not a book you read only once or that you keep to yourself.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Jon M. Huntsman is a corporate hero. If all CEO's were like Jon, no one could ever criticize capitalism.
What does Stow Lovejoy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Stow speaks from the heart, reflecting Jon well.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
"A handshake should always be as binding as a signed legal document." ~ Jon Huntsman
Any additional comments?
Read this book! Listen to it! Read it again! Give it away! Create a corporate culture and family culture that reflects the principles in this book. This book receives my highest recommendation. How can I give more than five stars?

Historia
Since the introduction of dietary guidelines calling for reduced fat intake in the 1970s, a strange phenomenon has occurred: Americans have steadily, inexorably become heavier, less healthy, and more prone to diabetes than ever before. After putting more than two thousand of his at-risk patients on a wheat-free regimen and seeing extraordinary results, cardiologist William Davis has come to the disturbing conclusion that it is not fat, not sugar, not our sedentary lifestyle that is causing America’s obesity epidemic—it is wheat.

Life Changing
Revisado: 07-24-12
Where does Wheat Belly rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?
This is the best health related book I've listened to since Jillian Michaels' Master Your Metabolism. There is far more information here than just weight loss advice, so read it even if you have nothing to lose!
What other book might you compare Wheat Belly to and why?
The Gluten Free Diet has additional useful information on this subject.
Have you listened to any of Tom Weiner???s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Sorry, no, but this was well read and easy to understand even at 3x speed.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Wheat is the junk food of the grain family. Did you know diabetes does not even exist in civilizations that do not eat wheat?
Any additional comments?
Amazing, life changing book. Thanks for years of extra life!

Historia
Discover magazine recently called Richard Dawkins "Darwin's Rottweiler" for his fierce and effective defense of evolution. Prospect magazine voted him among the top three public intellectuals in the world (along with Umberto Eco and Noam Chomsky). Now Dawkins turns his considerable intellect on religion, denouncing its faulty logic and the suffering it causes.

Naive
Revisado: 03-15-11
Mr. Dawkins goes to great lengths to teach people how to close their religious eyes and minds, as if it would help them see the world more clearly with their physical. Half the time I felt I was reading The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, a better intentioned book that I recommend to all. A fascinating study of how willfully blind one can become, The God Delusion is either a masterwork of self-delusion or sophistry. Those who have had real spiritual experiences will find this book shallow, manipulative, scornful, and it's author at best spiritually naive and inexperienced, at worst an unwitting spokesman for the enemy of God. A poor, unfortunate soul! As for atheists, they'll probably make a prophet out of him, but "Will the blind lead the blind? Both shall fall into the ditch." ~ Jesus A word to the wise: Keep BOTH eyes open! The spiritual and the physical, science AND religion. God did not send us here to rely solely on our senses. He also does not ask us to ignore them.

Excellent
Revisado: 04-06-10
This audio book is outstanding, up until the point where Richard starts going into outdated Global Warming theories, where he has clearly had too much influence from Al Gore and Gordon Brown.
I love the environment, but ClimateGate and also outside data have given us real cause to doubt the data Richard relies on. New research shows greenhouse gases are NOT trapped by the upper atmosphere at all, but escape into space, and that we may be heading into a natural period of global cooling. Furthermore, the whole carbon credits scheme appears to be politically and financially motivated (tens of trillions of dollars are at stake for a few people and companies, including several that Gore is on the board of), and will do great harm to poor, less developed countries, for example. The environment is important, but we have threats more real than global warming, like the depletion of ocean life. If it actually is a threat, there are cheaper ways to deal with it, such as those discussed in the bestselling book (and audiobook!) SuperFreakonomics by Steven J. Dubner.
Would like to see more audiobooks by Richard Branson brought to Audible! (Also maybe the unabridged version of this book?)
