Just a Kid from Arbor Hill is a story about changing your life and beating the odds. It focuses on the plight of a young Black boy who wants more for his life than what his environment allows. He wrestles with guilt and his commitment to staying true to himself, all while trying to better his neighborhood and stay alive. This is a story about growing up in the inner city of Albany, NY and overcoming the adversities that helped him to realize his true potential.

book was decent, im a lil biased because I come from Albany, so it was more of a nostalgia thing for me. but for a non Albanian it gives you a peak into the parts of the cap city that aren't represented often. decent read, definitely hope the author will expand more on the Albany experience in future works. this work is autobiography, but i believe a novel about Alb would work too, so many stories in a small city.
