No other book will be as relevant after COVID-19
Revisado: 03-25-20
I mean it. The conversations we are going to have, we MUST have, are going to be rather difficult. Peter and James are 'godsend' because they have given us a guide to make the most of these conversations. In a world after COVID-19, the world will talk . . . a lot. The question is, are we going to have impossible conversations and do something about them, or not? I would put all my money betting that, if we all read How To Have Impossible Conversations, we most certainly will.
PS - Peter offers an Easter Egg in the afterword. (It's worth it!).

Unique Book with Countless Lessons of the Future.

Will re-read it and have my children (yet to be born) to read it as well so they can see that the technologies they use were once science fiction.
What a great book this is. Reccomend it highly.

Historia
First published in 1903, James Allen's literary essay became an inspirational classic. It shows how, in his own thought-world, each man holds the key to every condition, good or bad, that enters into his life, and that, by working patiently and intelligently upon his thoughts, he may remake his life, and transform his circumstances.

Deeply Insightful. Will re-read it many times.
Revisado: 02-28-20
Deep questions surge by listening to this book, such as:
1- What actions am I doing to be in sync with mind?
2- What is it that I am not seeing so I can internalize that my life is justly ordered?
3- How am I paving the road to be "swimming in a sea of calmness"?
Great listen, loved the fact that Audible kept the original verison narrated by Don Allen here.

Historia
For too long, scientists have focused on the dark side of our biological heritage: our capacity for aggression, cruelty, prejudice, and self-interest. But natural selection has given us a suite of beneficial social features, including our capacity for love, friendship, cooperation, and learning. Beneath all our inventions - our tools, farms, machines, cities, nations - we carry with us innate proclivities to make a good society.

No other book has blown my mind as this one did
Revisado: 02-26-20
The best book I have listened in a while. Professor Christakis is a brilliant mind, he asks himself questions that many wouldn't. Blueprint, The Evolutionary Origins of a Good Society, is THE BOOK to read. Professor Christakis offers mind-blowing evidence about our evolutionary heritage and how it affects the way we build our societies. Moreover, it is a remainder for us to look one another with love, as all of us have embedded in our DNA "The Social Sweet".
Thanks for writing this and narrating it, Professor. You are a remarkable person.

Historia
In Migrating to Prison, leading scholar Cesar Cuauhtemoc Garcia Hernández takes a hard look at the immigration prison system's origins, how it currently operates, and why. He tackles the emergence of immigration imprisonment in the mid-1980s, with enforcement resources deployed disproportionately against Latinos, and he looks at both the outsized presence of private prisons and how those on the political right continue, disingenuously, to link immigration imprisonment with national security risks and threats to the rule of law.

Amazing. Thorough. Informative. Relevant.
Revisado: 02-26-20
I am certain that you will find this book as relevant as it can get when it comes to issues we face as a society. Even though we hear all day long about immigration, few truly understand how complex this issue is and, perhaps most importantly, why we need to talk about it more. The reason is people. At the end of the day, human beings, such as you and me, are being locked up and facing unimaginable amounts of adversity.
Cesar takes us deep into the intricacies of the "Industrial Prison Complex", and invites us to do something about it. This book should be read by everyone, everywhere.
Thanks Cesar for writing this. And also thank you Timothy for narrating the book in such an engaging manner.
