it's literally just rape....??

I'm two hours in exactly, and all I've taken away from the story is the MMC is horrible, and he has already raped the FMC twice and that's not including him describing how he would multiple times.... it's honestly pretty horrible to listen to, its only storyline I've gotten is that the MMC plans to rape the FMC for eternity until he breaks her. pretty horrible message there.

Love the storyline

I have listened to the first book a couple of times because I liked it so much, I was so excited to listen to this one and it was a good book! One of the reasons I like the first book so much was because rather than pining away and whining about the way things turned out between Tessa and Corrick, Tessa kept pushing on without falling into the common romance cliche of holding things over someone's head even tho they understand why they made the actions, especially when they're supposed to love each other. Unfortunately Tessa did so much of that in this book, I had a hard time listening to her POV for a while. It sorted itself out, but if you dislike trends like that just know it happens in this book.
The addition to the POVs was nice and didn't disrupt the story's flow. I'm excited to hear more about 'Fox'.
All the narrators did FANTASTIC jobs!!

On to the next one!

I loved the storyline and character development in this book! Both narrators did *fantastic* jobs! I have already listened twice and I will be starting to listen to the second book as soon as I finish writing this review!

A good book connects you to your emotions, an even better one brings them out. This series did both! I am glad there are many series to go from the Shadowhunters world. Something to say about the narrator: although at first I was taken aback by the addition of an accent from Will it grew on me quickly, might I add the narrator did Magnus Bane justice, he was my favorite character and the narrator contributed to this!

I loved the book! It took a little bit to actually get hooked, the beginning was boring (no offense meant) in the sense that it had no true hook, it kinda just jumped right into everything and left you confused, I had problems with the parent son relationships, but the book was good enough that it didn't really matter when it really came down to it. I'm definitely started the second one right now!

I've seen a lot of reviews saying that this book wasn't the best, but I love it! I wish the second book was by the same narrator! I'll probably read the second book instead of listening to it. I've never found a book like this one! Thank you for your gift! The narration is great as well!!

Finished this in one sitting. The narrator for this series does an excellent job, and the book is full of unexpected twists, turns, and betrayals that keep you engaged in the story and wanting to hear more.
