Historia
It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs, once thought of almost as gods, were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Those who had ruled under them, men and women with a lesser ability known as the Gift, avoided the Augurs' fate only by submitting themselves to the rebellion's Four Tenets.

Good book

Reminds me a great deal of the Wheel of Time series.
I would recommend it if you like that series.

Historia
It is not long before the survivors, outlaws, renegades, and carrion eaters start to gather, picking over the bones of the dead and fighting for the spoils of the soon-to-be dead. Now in the Seven Kingdoms, as the human crows assemble over a banquet of ashes, daring new plots and dangerous new alliances are formed, while surprising faces, some familiar, others only just appearing, are seen emerging from an ominous twilight of past struggles and chaos to take up the challenges ahead.

Annoying naration
Revisado: 07-12-11
This series is one of my favorites, but the narator overacts throughout the whole program. It's very distracting. Please bring back Roy Dutrice for the rest of the series.

Historia
Fantasy writer Rod Everlar is now hopelessly lost in the magical world he once thought he’d created, as he searches for his only friend, the guide who brought him there: the maimed warrior-woman Taeauna. She has been captured by the evil wizard Malraun, who has taken her to his bed—while Malraun’s armies conquer Falconfar, castle by castle and hold by hold.

From a big fan
Revisado: 12-30-10
I am a big fan of Ed Greenwood, but this book was just not good. It rambled in strange directions, contradicted itself in places, and generally just did not make sense. It had great potential, as the series started well, but sadly did not live up to its potential.
