great story / poor narration
Revisado: 08-16-24
great story! the narrator was terrible and, at times, the poor narration detracted from the story. exciting plot twists. wish i would have purchased the ‘brick and mortar’ book.

fabulous story/HORRIBLE narration
Revisado: 12-29-21
it's so very sad to me that the narrators for francine's books are so very bad. she is a wonderful writer and i long for her stories to be heard as they are truly wonderful. however, due to the poor narration, I confess I didn't make it past the 3rd chapter. I encourage people to buy the books. don't listen to them

Historia
On a dark, wintry day, Eliza Grey receives a mysterious letter from her ailing Nana Mora begging her to come for a visit. This is an easy "Yes". Eliza has always preferred Nana Mora's beach cottage on St. Simons Island to the apartment she and her mom call home in the city. The island is a magical place where stories and legends grow as thick as the Spanish moss dangling in the trees. Now, Nana Mora's eyesight is fading, and there's something she wants to show Eliza before it’s totally gone: a mythical place locals refer to as Sirens Harbor.

the younger narrator was horrid!
Revisado: 10-26-20
there are two narrators on this story. the older lady did well however, the younger narrator was overly dramatic and could not do accents or character voices well. it's a shame because it was a fun, sweet little story. every time she read 'Eliza's' part, I almost turned off the book.
