Thank you Douglas Preston

I am a huge Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child fan and I wondered what a book by Douglas Preston alone would be like. The answer is brillant and awesome! The narration was excellent as we the story. I was kept extremely engaged. As a bonus - there is an interview with Mr. Preston at the end of the book. He shares some of the aspects of his genius.

He's a witty, charismatic guy who's well liked at the office, but he lacks the "killer instinct" necessary to move up the corporate ladder. Not as good as Paranoia
Revisado: 08-24-06
The book was interesting but I did not become as engaged as I did reading his masterpiece - Paranoia (which I highly recommend). Scott Brick's narration was of course wonderful as always. If you just like hearing Scott Brick's narration as I do, then I think you should buy this audiobook.

Historia
In lower Manhattan, a charnel pit of horror is uncovered: the remains of 36 people murdered and gruesomely dismembered over 130 years ago by an unknown serial killer. Just as a museum archaeologist and an enigmatic FBI agent begin to unravel the clues to the killings, a fresh spree of copy-cat murders and surgical mutilation erupts around them. Mixing science and terror in a way only they can, Preston and Child deliver a novel that's as gruesome as it is enthralling.

Historia
In his newest collection of essays, David Sedaris lifts the corner of ordinary life, revealing the absurdity teeming below its surface. His world is alive with obscure desires and hidden motives, a world where forgiveness is automatic and an argument can be the highest form of love. Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim is another unforgettable collection from one of the wittiest and most original writers at work today.

Hysterical and touching
Revisado: 02-27-06
Very enjoyable listen read by the author. His family stories are touching and very funny. My favorite is the "Dutch Christmas Story". Great book to listen to on a long drive or walking the dogs!

Delightful read
Revisado: 02-27-06
At first I thought the book was entertaining Bridget Jones Diary style fluff on internet dating but it turned out to be much more. It was wonderful to listen to the main character develop throughout the book. The narration was wonderful. This book is about dating, deciding what is really important in life and friend and family relationships. It was very meaningful to me.

Historia
This extraordinary, magical novel is the story of Clare, a beautiful art student, and Henry, a librarian, who have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was 36, and were married when Clare was 22 and Henry 30. Impossible but true, because Henry has Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity in his past, present, and future.
