Historia
Pastor and bestselling author Greg Laurie was one of those fortunate few blessed with an insider’s view of Billy Graham’s world for more than two decades. With the same painstaking research and eye for detail that distinguishes his previous biographies, Steve McQueen: Salvation of an American Icon and Johnny Cash: The Redemption of an American Icon, Laurie now turns to the life of his beloved mentor, offering the intimate perspective of a disciple and friend.

I Was Spellbound
Revisado: 08-27-23
My father was on the crusade committee when Billy Graham came to Lexington Kentucky in 1971. I have been at a crusade. I have listened to hundreds of his sermons. This book was amazing. The author is himself a famous evangelist. At first I resisted Laurie's insertion of himself into the book, but then I recalled the full title of the book ("Billy Graham:
the Man I Knew") and then Laurie's personal anecdotes rang true and were enjoyed.
Anyone who was touched by the ministry of Billy Graham should read (listen to) this book!

Why we think it’s a great listen: Seabiscuit was a runaway success, and Hillenbrand’s done it again with another true-life account about beating unbelievable odds. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared....

Historia
The left has corrupted the U.S. legal system. Wielding the law as a weapon, arrogant judges and lawless prosecutors are intimidating, silencing, and even imprisoning Americans who stand in the way of their radical agenda. Their "enemies list" even includes parents who dare to speak up for their children at school board meetings. In this shocking new book, Senator Ted Cruz takes listeners inside the justice system, showing how the wrong hands on the levers of power can strangle liberty, crush opposition, and wreck lives.

Kudos for Cruz (again)
Revisado: 12-12-22
Senator Cruz has never been afraid of the truth and in this book we get to see the unvarnished truth about our national divide! It’s too bad that left-leaning liberals will not pick this book up and have their eyes opened! Especially powerful is Cuz’ calling out Stacey Abrams for hypocrisy!! Keep up the good work Sen. Cruz!

Cameron Winter is brilliant, humorous, engagingly honest, self-reflective, not hardly a normal “Poetry Boy” as his enemies dubbed him! Keep this series alive and I will be there with Winter to the end! Kudos to Klavan!

Historia
Where the Light Fell is a gripping family narrative set against a turbulent time in post-World War II America, shaped by the collision of Southern fundamentalism with the mounting pressures of the civil rights movement and '60s-era forces of social change. In piecing together his fragmented personal history and his search for redemption, Yancey gives testament to the enduring power of our hunger for truth and the possibility of faith rooted in grace instead of fear.

Rare Honesty and Vilnerability
Revisado: 06-29-22
I have read many memoirs yet never have I experienced such authentic honest vulnerability. As Phillip states in his Author’s Note — this work was in progress for 50 years! Thank you sir for all of your amazing contributions to Christian literature (most if not all read by me) and especially for your memoir. Hearing your own voice read the text for Audible was an extra special treat!
