Great listen-perfect series for a daily commute

This set has been a early enjoyable way to spend my morning and evening commute over the last many weeks. Albert and Rex are a very entertaining crime solving duo. I am looking forward to the last five books in this series. I do hope there is a set for that as well.

Kudos to the writer for being so prolific and turning out a series of this quality.  The narrator did a good job with the story and the voices.

This is novel had so many missed opportunities

I am fairly new to the series, so I have been catching up over the last year. I have genuinely loved the framework and the story telling this far.

I was excited and completely involved in the first part of the novel. Story lines about to unfold with WWII, Daniel’s back story, corporate greed and/or fraud. Unfortunately, that did not last. The novel went into confusing arcs with all-niters in the archives and evidence demanded on unreasonable timelines. Then a pro-life push at the end that might have been pro-choice but was really unclear and seemed like it was an incomplete add-on. Normally, these books read like the author has put a great deal of work into edits and really honing her final product. This seemed more disjointed and I hope it’s a one-off because I have loved the series thus far.

Unexpected delight!

I didn’t know what to expect when I added this to my listening library. Osman has out done himself on this effort. A beautiful and complicated set of characters orchestrated across great plot lines. I was absolute delighted throughout. Manville put together a wonderful performance. A new favorite. Thank you!

Did not realize this was a short story.

Not blaming the author on this, but Audible. I thought I was spending a full credit on the next installment in the Gamache series. While that may have been technically accurate, this story was set aside from the rest of the character development and was more of a novella.

Also, I miss Ralph Cosham as the narrator and voice of Chief Inspector Gamache.

Loved the first half

This book was much better than I thought it would be. I enjoyed the early struggle and the voyage of self discovery. The last half seem to be more edited and a little promotional. Overall definitely worth a read.

Love this author-please write more

Thank you so much for this sequel to Orlando People. I have loved all of this authors books and hope that he continues to write more. I enjoy the fast-paced quickwitted style and it makes for a great listen.
Alexander C Kane is my favorite new author.

I did not know what to expect, but thought this worth a try. Mycroft has always held some interest. Kudos to the authors on an excellent job. I can’t wait to read the others. Keep writing!
