This children's book is a touching true story about three little Yorkshire Terriers. Gidget gets pregnant by her sweet love, Tommy. Tommy is the smallest and cutest male Yorkie you have ever seen. A puppy gets stuck in the birth canal during labor, and Gidget has to be rushed to the animal hospital. Gidget has emergency surgery and a tiny black puppy named Pebbles is born.

Great combination of story and information.

The author's clear sentences are infused by the reader with just the right degree of feeling. One does not need to be a fan of Yorkshire Terriers in order to treasure this book, but since they are dogs which smile, among other wonderful things, one might just go out and get such a special dog.
