Historia
Understanding Judaism—and the way in which Judaism and Christianity became separate religions—is essential for a rich and holistic Christian identity. As a follower of Jesus who was raised in a Jewish home and who continues to live a Jewish life, Jennifer Rosner has seen firsthand how a Christian faith can become impoverished when divorced from its Jewish roots. Finding Messiah follows Rosner's own journey in rediscovering the role of Judaism and God's covenant with Israel in Christian life and practice.

Expertly clarified

This book is a treasure for our current time. With patience and expertise, this book brings to the table this keen and indelible base of the Christian faith and how it is oft overlooked and misunderstood. Woven into the treatise is her personal story, making this both a book of substance and an enjoyable book to read. I plan to read it again soon, as she presented many new facets to biblical passages that I want to hear again.

Health misinformation
Revisado: 03-27-22
If you just need to lose weight through IF and need some strategies on how to start, then perhaps you can roll though the health theory misinformation and glean what is useful for your health. But be prepared to reingest popular american diet theology (ie that lectins survive the cooking process, that people with functioning kidneys need to limit high oxalate foods, that that bulletproof coffee yields similar life elongating benefits of a true fast). The marketing of specialized MCT oil should be what perks your ears for someone making money off Americans who are desperate to lose weight.

It’s a low carb diet with a semi-scientific explanation
Revisado: 09-21-19
I was really excited to listen to this book after all the hype. I like her intro. Totally agree that refined sugars or too much unbalanced carbs will raise blood sugar and then we suffer cravings later. But she also left out some helpful basic nutritional science— like how when you couple carbs with protein or fat you slow and elongate the blood sugar curve too. Come on.
I like trying the Fab Four smoothie, because she’s right that too much fruit kills the healthy vibe on most smoothies.
But the book is filled, FILLED with one story after another of dramatic, unhealthy weight loss. What I mean is, people losing 5-15 pounds in a matter of 2 weeks. That is not fat loss. That is water loss from a low-carb diet. You will regain it when you start eating carbs again.
So unless you subscribe to a never-eat-carbs again lifestyle, or intermittent fasting and fat+protein forever, then this is just old ideas in new clothing. Sorry but that’s my honest review.
