At times I loved this book, but as a whole it’s disappointing. Ferrone is always great, always. Love ALL the Davenport and Flowers books. This one though, started good but went in the wrong direction. I’ll just say the last 6 chapters could be rewritten and it could be good, great even. As it is, the last leg of the book just disappointed me. I will try one more in the series, in the meantime, bring on that F…ing Flowers!

I really hate it when they release a previously released book and call it a “new release”. I do t remember the name of every reacher title so I see a new release and I get excited and get it.

There is not a bad book in either series. Flowers and Davenport are my favorite characters in mystery novels next to Pendergast and Jack Reacher. I cant wait for the next books to come out.

Best Must Hear
Who was your favorite character and why?
I like Cleet, and love Gretchen, but Robicheaux is the man. He is the anchor that keeps the other 2 from spinning out of control.
Which scene was your favorite?
Too many to say. Almost every scene has you sitting there wondering what will happen next, and when it does, it blows you away. Do not try to listen to this book while trying to accomplish anything else.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book left my head spinning. Just....Wow.
Any additional comments?
To me, Will Patton IS Dave Robicheaux. Because of his acting, its impossible for me to picture anyone else as one of the most interesting characters in any audio book series.
Like Joe Pike, and Detective Pendergast, I find myself wishing I could hang out with these guys and get to know them better.
