I have been a BIG fan of the Full Metal Panic series since the anime was first released back in 2002, it is in my top 5 animes of all time, and I was so surprised when I heard that they were going to be making audiobooks based on them, this series of books has been perfect for me, especially since the voice actors of Chris Patton & Luci Christian came back to voice the characters I love, and even some they didn't do, I have absolutely zero issues with this audiobook and I hope they do the full story, if you are as much of a fan of Full Metal Panic as I am then you will enjoy it to, 11 out of 10!!!

Kaname is in the doldrums: There's just one week until the end of summer vacation, and she hasn't done anything interesting! Fortunately, Sousuke is here to provide a little adventure by offering her a trip to Merida Island. But what starts for Kaname as a simple trip to learn more about the mystery surrounding her quickly snowballs into a firefight in a chemical weapons facility, a reunion with a mortal enemy, and a battle for control of a runaway submarine! However things turn out, at least she can't claim that her summer was uneventful.

I was already in Obi-Wan Kenobi fan before I read this book and now I'm an even bigger fan. The way the story was set up an old west-style kept me wanting to listen to it all the way to the end. The only gripe I have about it is that there wasn't a big scene about Kenobi finding out that Anakin / Vader was still alive (even though there's a scene already like that at the end of the rise of Darth Vader book). Honestly in my opinion I would say this book was better than Darth Plagueis.

Slow build, great overall!

I started reading this book shortly after the Bane trilogy, and to me this book is just as memorable as all three of those.
The book was well past, not as much action as some other Star Wars books but it's more focused on politics. I'm happy that they went two characters from Phantom Menace, and was also surprised when they just about went through the entirety of phantom menace only within two or three chapters.
Only con about this book is that the first six chapters are fairly slow but once it introduces Palpatine it really starts to pick up.
Overall great book definitely recommend to Star Wars fans.
