Captain Takai... Ohhhh myyyy!
Austin could work on pronunciation a little, though. Still a 5 star performance!

Sorry, but after 5 chapters of not being able to get through a paragraph without mentioning Trump, how Covid was caused by Trump, made worse by Trump, how people that didn't lick the boots of Fauci and his NAZIs were "killing America" etc, I decided to delete the book and just watch CNN instead. Stephen King has gone delusional. He can no longer write a book without it being a political manifesto.

A schizophrenicly misogynistic attempt at mansplaining feminine mentality. King should stick to his old style. Maybe someone should mail him a kilo and a case of whiskey.

What made the experience of listening to Guilty Pleasures the most enjoyable?

Kimberly Alexis has the ability to become Anita Blake through the first-person telling of this story. The universe Laurell K Hamilton creates with this book is fascinating and makes it easy to suspend disbelief.

What other book might you compare Guilty Pleasures to and why?

The Twilight Series, because they are a clear rip off of Laurell's Anita series.

Which character – as performed by Kimberly Alexis – was your favorite?

Anita of course, but her ability to voice many characters including males is astounding. When a character speaks, you know who it is immediately.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Rough question, maybe "Enter a world where your dark fantasies become your Guilty Pleasures"

Any additional comments?

This book got me hooked on the Anita Blake series, and I haven't missed a release since I caught up.
