Mike's voice and storytelling are special. I found myself listening to a chapter and the next telling someone, "hey did you ever hear this phrase? Here's the story behind that!" Mike tells of his life, people's triumphs and overall interesting stories.

Historia
Empire of the Summer Moon spans two astonishing stories. The first traces the rise and fall of the Comanches, the most powerful Indian tribe in American history. The second entails one of the most remarkable narratives ever to come out of the Old West: the epic saga of the pioneer woman Cynthia Ann Parker and her mixed-blood son, Quanah, who became the last and greatest chief of the Comanches.

Good narrator, interesting story, and a good pace. This a period of history that I always had loose ideas and facts about. I found it informative and compelling, I would definitely recommend.

loved it Biggly
Christopher Buckleys writings continue to be funny! I have read Thank You for Smoking, Little Green Men ,and Boomsday. This was my first audio book of his and it really made it come to life!! The narrator killed it on the voices, some of the inflections sounded like Trump himself. The story flew by and I truly had some laugh out loud moments. If you are worried this book it too political, don't be!! As far as politically this was more poking fun at the characters assembled in that administration at that time (plus some fictional ones) I feel that it could be applied to any administration. I voted for 45 and laughed the entire time!! Knowing some of the sentaors or press secretarys during his admin will make the references better but not nessicary!! Highly recommended!

The Overstory unfolds in concentric rings of interlocking fable that range from antebellum New York to the late 20th-century Timber Wars of the Pacific Northwest and beyond. An air force loadmaster in the Vietnam War is shot out of the sky, then saved by falling into a banyan. An artist inherits 100 years of photographic portraits, all of the same doomed American chestnut. A hard-partying undergraduate in the late 1980s electrocutes herself, dies, and is sent back into life by creatures of air and light.

long but enjoyable
Revisado: 12-28-20
great narration, interesting story...only criticism is I kept forgetting who the characters were when they switched from story to story, simply because the book was that long. other than that I found the themes and individual stories compelling.

Stunning...a wonderful listen...a handbook for life. Those words of advance praise from another celebrated author scarcely convey just how powerfully mesmerizing is the latest book by New York Times best-selling author and nationally syndicated radio talk show host Larry Elder. Dear Father, Dear Son is a personal memoir of Elder's troubled - one might even say tortured - relationship with his father, and the astonishing outcome that develops when Elder, at long last, confronts him.

fast paced and interesting!
Revisado: 03-01-17
I very much enjoyed this book and it's look into the rise of Elon Musk. It was fast paced and I enjoyed the narration. This was the first book i shared with a friend. If Mr Musk is interesting to you I say this book is worth a listen. It has occasional swearing (mostly from Elon's interviews) so caution if you have kids. Otherwise I'd say go for it!
