Boring disjointed plot, unlikeable main character. Narration was good, but couldn't save the book, I literally couldn't get through it. I kept hoping it would get better, it did NOT.

Don't waste your time

Totally unlikable main character...just yuck! Plot was weird, and not in a good way. A great story should leave you wanting more, this leaves you feeling you wasted 2+ hours.

This series is perfection.

What a touching and beautiful picture these books paint of loving Christian friendship between women.
I'm doing a broad stroke review, because really, this particular book is part of a whole. The characters change from book to book, but the message is the same: God lovingly orders the footsteps of his followers and is intimately involved in the details of our lives, even if we can't see it. or feel it.
The characters are well thought out and believable. The stories are full of encouragement, humor and sensitivity.

A little disappointing...

To me, this didn't live up to Mary Kubica's previous books. Story was ok, but one of the main characters actions stretched the bounds of how someone would really react a little too far...ie. no one is THAT stupid. When listening you find that character's actions more frustrating than suspenseful. Anyway, listened through the book so I could find out what happened. Ending was satisfying if more than a bit unbelievable.

Better than "The Martian "

It's 3 am and I just finished this book. To be honest, I can count on one hand the books that have moved me to tears----this book is one of them.
Be prepared, this book is vastly different from "The Martian ".
I personally did NOT like "The Martian " and did not finish it. Call me old fashioned, but I dont find it necessary for a book to drop the f-bomb in every other sentence, and frankly, it gets old. Thankfully, this book didn't do that.
Fans of the original Star Trek, will probably enjoy this book.
I'm not going to spoil it, just wanted to say how much I enjoyed it! And hey, this is Audible, if you don't likey, you can return it.

This audiobook is awful. The narrator droned on and on, awful.
The story was, again awful.
If it hadn't been included with membership, I WOULD have returned it.

Not sure why these shorts are coming forth from Audible. My view is that most of us audiobook enthusiasts are used to listening to at least a 10 hour story on average...just my opinion.

The writing was excellent as was the performance.
I just wanted to warn those who may have lived with/grown up with domestic violence. For those (me) this will not be an easy listen as it will definitely pull up things in your past, no matter what stage of healing you may be at. Peace
